My compliment to the three person who are enjoying their paddling in the open sea. I will never have a courage to do that.

My flowers are all but gone, victims of the excessive heat we've had but I have memories like this one of a much admired fuchsia.

Moored on the Columbia River at Kelly Point. 30 November 2024. Ford vehicles were coming off, while Jeeps were being loaded. According to MarineTraffic.com the ship is now headed to Japan. I wonder where all those Fords came from.

It takes a bit of courage to fly amidst a thunderstorm nearby. And I was lucky to capture the lightning in my frame as I was flying near Singapore Flyer. The lightning flashes were too near that I only hovered around 30m high.

another sick day spent at home.
This is going out to my dear contacts who are going through a rough time right now. (you know who you are) And to any others on flickr who might be going through a difficult patch. May you find the courage and strength you need to climb that mountain and see the sun on the otherside.
If life's what you make it,
Then you've treasured each day
Like it might be the last that you live
And you've figured out ways how not to take
But rather on how you can give.
There are few in this life who can speak very
Loud
Yet not having said a word,
And pass on to others life's valued lessons
Cause your actions spoke louder than words.
So thanks for the code
That you've taught us to live by
Year to Year, day to day
And this is our way to say thanks for the
Teachings
And preserving THE COWBOY WAY

Give me courage to stand tall...
Le premier pas pour avoir ce que vous voulez, c'est d'avoir le courage de quitter ce que vous ne voulez plus.
Because I like building dragons with minifigures in front of 'em. ;)
I tried to build a compelling story with the two kids behind the rock in this image. Lots of delicate bits in this creation for sure--the baby for starters, don't know how many times I had to redo that wrapping, then too the snow is one of those things that only sticks together when every piece is in place, and then the dragon... I think that fell apart 4 times on the photography table, and it's one of those things where fixing one bit seems to knock another one off... well, anyways, here's the picture at last. Oh, and did I mention that I lost an hour worth of editing when GIMP died on me? Maybe I should have called this effort instead of courage!
I used nets to get the wings to hang. I think it's a technique that has more potential, the structure here wasn't stable enough for me to really stretch and mold it like I'd have liked to. Anyway, check out the bts shots on Insta!
