This one was serendipity. I saw this couple through my window and started taking pictures.
I'm surprised at the quality, considering I zoomed and there was glass between us. I just really like this shot for some reason.

I can't believe how lucky I was to check out the 2013 Carnavale in Venice - what a spectacle and experience! On certain days there are organized events for the masqueraders. On this day, Thursday, 7 February, there was a big gathering at the Santa Maria della Salute - so many photo ops - and great weather too - life is good!

A couple living at Qalandiya Refugee Camp. They originally come from the Palestinian village of Sheikh Muwanis. They have been living in this camp since 1948 and have children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren with them in the camp. Today the University of Tel Aviv sits on much of the land that was Sheikh Muwanis. Only one house from the original village remains: it has become the university clubhouse.
