When I first saw this couple reading this menu and grabbed this shot, I knew the shot was all about the red coat. Most of the other colors in the picture were kind of flat and drab. But, here was this red coat just standing out. So, what the heck. I decided in PP to do a B&W on everything but the coat. Fun stuff!

A couple more shots from my trip down to Johnson Space Center a few weeks ago. Wish there had been a more interesting sky, but I think that red thing-a-ma-jiggy really pops against the deep blue. And it really does look a lot better large on black. Hope everyone has a great week - I have a crazy busy Monday ahead, but will catch up soon...
Some info about the rocket:
A one-man spacecraft booster combination like this one propelled the first two American astronauts (Al Shepard and Gus Grissom) into space in May & July of 1961. Al Shepard’s spacecraft reached an altitude of 101 nautical miles in a ballistic arc above the Earth. The flight lasted about 15.5 minutes and Shepard was weightless for over five minutes. The vehicle reached a velocity of over 5,000 miles per hour and landed 236 miles downrange. At liftoff it weighed above 66,000 lbs. and was powered by a single A-7 engine. The propellants were ethyl alcohol and water, and liquid oxygen. The rocket is 83 feet tall, including the spacecraft assembly, and 70 inches in diameter.
