Ha ha! I was taking pictures of some seagulls in a parking lot but I couldn't get close enough. I figured I could tempt them closer with food, but I didn't have any.
What I did have is a cough drop (Hall's Cherry). I threw that and the flurry of gulls was impressive but I didn't get any useful pictures. This guy was the winner, but he didn't like the taste...or maybe because it was sugar free.

A great white egret chick stimulates the parent to regurgitate some food by grasping its bill and pulling the parent's head down! I often wonder how a behavior like this evolves!
Well, this was fun. I’ve never done oil droplets before though I have admired the results of many who have, including lots today.
And I wasn’t going to. But I had ten minutes spare at lunchtime so I thought I would give it a try. I placed a little water in a light-coloured flowerpot saucer outside and dripped oil on top. It was really shallow so you can see the droplet shadows on the saucer from the bright sunlight.
The red oil on the left is multigrade car oil from the Boy’s Garage. Curiously when I first added the oil it didn’t form proper blobs at all, just a yellow mush. And then I sprayed it, as one does, with WD40 (a very light DIY oil in an aerosol can), and suddenly it formed blobs. How strange! My scientific curiosity is piqued, but I decided to leave further experiments ‘til later.
The yellow is rapeseed cooking oil pernickered from the Mistress of the Estate’s Kitchen.
And that was the problem.
Alas, Favourite Wife spotted the theft and I was caught (oily- and) red-handed. As a result (and the fact that the ‘ten minutes’ overran ever so slightly, cough…) I am in the doghouse, and my ranking has dropped immeasurably way beneath that of Favourite Husband.
She was distinctly not amused that I was so free to squander the last remaining cooking oil. It was not so much a fall from grace as a plummet over the precipice into the fathomless abyss. I doubt now that Favourite Husband will ever be an attainable goal, and I’d worked towards it for so long. Sigh…
I took about 120 shots, struggling to find a good composition (I was definitely on the steep learning curve experimenting mode here). This was a crop from one of the more interesting results. I rather like the little cascade of mini droplets or bubbles from the top right droplet.
There was a little magic in the processing and the image was also flipped vertically to tell a better story.
This is for Smile on Saturday’s Oil on Water theme today.
Thank you for taking the time to look. I hope you enjoy the image. Happy Smile on Saturday :) (Sympathy always welcome! ;) )

Mom is still coughing but at least she felt good enough today to take a few photos. It has been awfully boring these last few days with mom and Fynn both being sick. Filou couldn't visit me either as mom didn't want yet another cat in the house. I visited him but then I have fallen into disgrace because I destroyed a vase and made scratches into the leather sofa. The vase was ugly anyway and the scratches only happened because I was so excited about playing with Filou. Before I could even say "meow" I was back at home and BORED again. Hopefully things will return to normal now.
*coughs slightly*
Liked how the natural cinematic bars creating a sneak peek scene on that skimpy pieces.
Walking around with gloss and a mask on is torture. Living in a world of empty people where everyone is locked away and not seeing fresh air or light is very hard. The world feels so quite with nobody in the roads nobody walking around. It feels as though I am just living in a fake place. I went to the beach and nobody was there, no cars, no people, no restaurants were opened. I asked a couple people around their thoughts on the virus. 1. How am I going to pay bills? 2. If you cough why you coming outside? 3. Why does everyone stay home but the suspensory stay open

So yeah, I haven't uploaded anything in like, a month or something, and I've been prompted to upload something (ehem by Caleb *cough*), like some of my figures that have been lying around since my last upload. Oh yeah, this is for Best Brickr too, against legowarzone. Anyways...
I have been really busy with school lately, and also have been feeling like I needed a break from focusing on flickr so much. Also, there has really been a lack of inspiration for me, both on flickr and because I have so many projects that I need to finish :P
Speaking of, I have lots of customs, mods, custom figs, and other stuff waiting to be finished/finalized, so expect some cool stuff from me soon (hopefully). I feel myself moving in a more "fully custom figure" direction, so you'll see less combo-based things from me in the near future.
Inspired by many here on flickr, namely, Mclovin, Richard Goff, Commander Wolffe, The Chef, Natsty, pecovam, and Detroitika especially, I have really focused on alot of customizing lately. Believe it or not, I actually am pretty decent at modding and painting, even with pretty basic techniques and materials. But hey, just because I don't have citadel doesn't mean I can't make some pretty sweet stuff! I have some "rad" mods in the works as well as some cool armors and stuff, so stay tuned! I hope you guys will like what I do next! ;)
Some things to note in this pic are: the Hooded robe, made by an ebay seller FKBricks, the custom legs on the far right that are a sort of "combat shorts," and the clasps on the EG combat legs that are painted silver.
Oh yeah, yes those are

There is a room in our house we don't advise you to enter. It has a notice : PLEASE DON'T OPEN THIS DOOR and just to be doubly sure we keep it locked and chained at all times. But a week last Tuesday I heard noises, a sort of creaking and soft shuffling and the odd cough, which prompted me to investigate. Slipping out of the house I peeped into the window of the forbidden room and sure enough the door was ajar and the mad uncles were looking right back out at me. I couldn't be sure but I think they had been shopping for new hats!

Thank you for looking.
"A cough is a common reflex action that clears the throat of mucus or foreign irritants." Just notice that this Eagle has a feather sticking out of the side of the mouth. Guess the Poultry Feather Plucking machine wasn't working
Sorry for the cut tracks, still don’t have the money to buy them.
I will be doing more variants for this Sherman on the upcoming weeks. This was a complete 3 hour project.
My daughters temperature has finally dropped but she is still unwell with a blocked up nose and a cough, getting better though.
As my wife has been stuck in for a few days looking after my daughter I stayed in with her today so my wife could do a little theraputic shopping around town.
When she got back I had a little time myself around the harbour and seafront getting a few long exposures.
This is a 59 second exposure of the stairs used by the RNLI in Sovereign harbour, I think they launch a little dinghy from here to get to the main life boat which is moored close by.
Anyway I left this in colour as it looked much better than the mono version.
Thank you so much for all your kind words and messages of support for my daughter and the stressfull time we have been having with the house amongst other things.
I took a trip over to the dark peak today to visit middle black clough waterfall. I was overwhelmed by the amount of stuff to photograph. It was a scramble to the waterfall but was a really smart place. I cant wait to visit in the summer and autumn too. Here is a shot from the way up to the waterfall.
