The red carpet in the Fairmont, Monte Carlo hotel; from F1 week, Monaco 2006! I walked on this, I felt excited- haha! I pointed the camera down and just shot without looking, so people didn't think I was strange taking a photo of just a block of the red carpet and just to see how it turned out, I like the light it captured at the top! (Note from April 2007: The carpet actually doesn't exist anymore now- boo!)

Sulla spiaggia del Larvotto di Montecarlo è stato ricostruito un giardino in stile giapponese la cui visita è assolutamente gratuita. E' possibile calarsi nella realtà del Sol levante passeggiando tra i vialetti ciottolati, attraversando il tipico ponticello rosso con tanto di pesci rossi che nuotano nel laghetto, visitare la tipica casa nipponica con relativo futon e servizio da tè e naturalmente riposarsi all'ombra di un ciliegio dopo una lunga camminata o una giornata di spiaggia.

NOTRE DAME DE LA GARDE CATHEDRAL.
Interior of the Roman Catholic Neo-Byzantine Church which was built by the architect Henri-Jacques & completed in 1864.
Notre-Dame de la Garde means literally - Our Lady of the Guard.
Notre Dame means "The Virgin" - the most FAMOUS Notre Dame Cathedral is associated & is in PARIS.
Notice the hanging SHIPS which sailors over the centuries have been giving OFFERINGS of THANKS escaping shipwrecks & having a safe passage.

The MSC Splendida was inducted into the MSC fleet in 2009 & is one of four ships in the Fantasia class fleet.
The MSC Fantasia is the biggest & longest ship in the Fantasia fleet.

The CRYPT - This is the statue of the Virgin with Child & Bouquet displayed at the altar.
We were asked to HUSH since there were services taking place.

Many artists have been attracted to Marseille with the likes of Cézanne, Braque, Derain, Dufy & Marquet.

Moored at the Leon de Gourette Cruise Terminal.
The facade and the view from a house are the 2 most critical shots; here my telescopic mast was no go; now the RC heli is the perfect tool for the situation.
This house is situated right on a 900Ft vertical cliff.
I was really nervous shooting this (!) and conditions were windy

You can see parts of the RAMPARTS (SPUR) of the OLD 16th century FORT on the left of this photo.
The Cathedral is made up of a upper & lower church.
