A train loaded down with coal destined for a power plant in North Carolina crosses the famed "Copper Creek Viaduct" at Clinchport, VA.

For this weeks challenge "Monochrome One Color" I was having trouble finding something i liked until I saw the two copper bowls sitting on own counter.

If you fav this photo please leave a comment as to why you like it, thanks in advance.

CSX P001 crawls across the bridge at Copper Creek, going no faster than walking pace. As evident by the plethora of cars parked next to the Appalachia District on the right, there was an abundance of railfans in the area.

A little dresser "pocket-stuff" tray that I made from a 5x7 sheet of copper from Hobby Lobby. Except for plumbing repairs, I haven't worked with copper since high school, so this was as much of an experiment as a project.

A trip to photograph Brown Hairstreaks last week proved fruitless. However, this posing small copper made up for a lack of opportunities with the Brown's. Go large.

The Small Copper is a fast flying butterfly that is unmistakable with its bright copper-coloured forewings. It is a widespread species and a familiar and welcome sight for many naturalists throughout the summer months. Though it remains a common and widespread species, the Small Copper declined throughout its range during the twentieth century.

Only a record shot but this was my first of the year and possibly my earliest ever. At Hankridge on the edge of Taunton.

Nobody will believe this, but as I was taking this shot two coppers 👮‍♀️👮 (and yes they were both small) came up behind me to ask if I'd seen a tent which they'd been sent to find. I thought about getting them to pose with the first small copper but by then it had flown :-(

the macromonday theme for 5/20 is copper (bronze and brass are ok, too)...... "Bronze and brass are acceptable as is oxidized, tarnished or corroded metallic copper such as verdigris but copper-based chemicals such as copper sulfate or Schweizer's reagent are not."........ artistically this one might be the best but i think i'm going to go with the copper fly- oh, my

A small section of a copper bracelet. The fine copper wire slides through the two twists so you can widen or close the bracelet to fit your wrist.

There's a shot of the whole bracelet in the first comment field, along with the the size-guide I use for MM.
