Think what a better world it would be if the whole world had cookies and milk about three o'clock every afternoon and then lay down on our blankets for a nap. Barbara Jordan
Shortbread cookies protesting against Facebook's fucked up reporting of pics policy. It only takes one malicious person to get you censored on that site. They allow beheading videos on the site though. They allow pages that degrade & objectify women. They won't allow a locally well known burlesque performer pics though - not even fully nude either.
Will they censor the cookies too? This is done to illustrate how ridiculous & prone to abuse that Facebook's photos reporting policy is. Fuck with a creative artist & they will turn you into wacky art. That's what we do best.
Cookie is Stephanie's "Rockabilly" Custom Gloom Beach Draculaura. My friend Asuka was soooo obsessed with Cookie that for her birthday I had Stephanie do another Rockabilly girl for Asuka, and that's Bonnie. (Bonnie gets her name from "Bon Anniversaire") I had a lot of fun photographing both girls, and I'm posting these pictures on Asuka's birthday :)
I saw these cookies at Termini Brothers in the Reading Terminal Market in Philadelphia on Halloween. They were marked Osso di Morta, or Bones of the Dead--hard clove-flavored cookies baked as a traditional All Souls' Day (November 2nd) treat.
I've seen numerous variations on the spelling (Ossi di Morte, for example), and some recipes indicate that variations include hazelnut flavors rather than clove. It seems they are not common to all regions of Italy, and may be primarily Piedmontese.
It is a dessert with a twist and traditionally served in Chinese restaurants since the early part of 20th century. Although created in USA it has commonly been accepted as a Chinese Fortune Cookie. Fortune cookies, as the name suggests, contain a fortune message usually of luck or prosperity that forms the essence of the cookie. Also the messages have been known to have jokes, aphorisms and advice. Now, with the help of PhotoFunia you can create your own fortune cookie message and share it with your friends and family.

Oh, and that's my replica Han Solo blaster in the top corner...
1-1/4 cups of freshly ground spelt/barley/oat flour
1/2 teaspoon of non aluminum baking powder
1/4 teaspoon of unrefined sea salt
1/2 cup of coconut oil
1 cup of macadamia nut butter
3/4 cup of rapadura
1 local organic free range egg
1 tablespoon of raw milk
1 teaspoon of vanilla extract
1/2 cup of organic un-sulphured dried cranberries
1/2 cup of organic un-sulphured dried apricots- chopped
Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
Combine flour, baking powder and salt and set aside.
Beat the coconut oil and macadamia nut butter together, add rapadura and egg and mix well. Add the milk and the vanilla extract. Add slowly the flour mixture and beat thoroughly. Stir in the dried fruit.
Roll small balls and place them on unbleached parchment paper leaving about 2 inches in between. Press each cookie down to about half an inch thick using fork. Bake for about 12 minutes (set your timer to 10 first and check). Do not overbake - cookies may appear to be underdone, but they are not. Cool the cookies on the sheets for 1 minute, then remove to a wire rack to cool completely.
