I traveled to Canada to pick up the sheetmetal and fiberglass roof parts. This photo is the result of that long drive plus many many hours of fabrication.

Two Weinmann Zac19 rims (@470 grams actual weight, which is about the same as the claimed weight of a Synergy,) with bonus straight-gauge spokes, nipples, and low-end Shimano hubs.
The Zac19 isn't eyeletted, which might be a problem, but I've put thousands of miles onto handbuilt (==highly tensioned) Alex Y2000 rims and not seen any rim damage there, so I'll save the $40/rim here and spend it buying more steel tubing for racks and waterproof fabric for porteur bags :-)

Sadly some issues arose in the track system. During troubleshooting it was discovered that the gearbox for the main drive engine for both treads was the cause. As such I was forced to completely disassemble the Land Raider 1.0. Since this offered an opportunity to revisit the internals I was able to try my hand at adding the rotating main gun and shifting internals around.

With new conversion neck, 1950's thick rim, and nickel parts. This one has a Faulkner tone ring.
New replacement 1950s GIbson Kluson firebird banjo tuners for RB-250 w/ Cream buttons and a genuine original matching KLUSON friction 5th string tuner button.
Currently undergoing a 7 million pound restoration by the YMCA, this is Holme Mill. Built on the site of the first steam powered mill in Bradford, this place will be home to dormitories, a dance studio, cafe, offices, common room and will be extended. The original roofing tiles will be used on the Thornton Road side of the mill.
