Abandoned power Plant Control Room

This shoot was the most fun I've had in what feels like forever. We met late in the evening, and just walked around Nakano, Tokyo, shooting and drinking, it was a blast. All the interesting spaces, colours and lights we found, and all the wondrous architecture. Such a lucky night to have met and shot with Nigal for the first time and get to shoot with Sayaka who was a total star.

Shot at Ksenia's home make-up studio

I typically use Elinchrome (Pro series) or ProPhoto strobes, when shooting at studio. They are reliable, comfortable and give the quality of light that you usually expecting to get from such reputable manufacturers. But there are times, when you need to shoot indoors and the light from the window is not enough even for fast fixed length lenses. In addition, you can't move the window position and the model has to turn towards the window to get her face lit, which also imposes restrictions.

For a long time, the only solution in such situations was to use a flash. That was before Godox hit the market with their Monolight series - small, highly portable wireless strobes. When I first saw AD100 Pro I fall in love instantly - 524g weight, with a size of 330ml beer can, powered with removable lithium battery, OLED screen, LED modelling light lamp and a wide variety of light shaping accessories that photographer instantly put - thanks for magnetic connector.

It was enough for me to make decision and so it happened that the other day I purchased a Godox studio flash - model AD100 Pro. Same time Ksenia returned to the town and we agreed to shoot her with this new light solution. The result you can see above.

P.S. This story is not an advertisment of any kind of Godox products and wasn't sponsored. Just want to share something that help you guys to stay on a budget and get portable light anywhere. Love you all. <3

These controls were ran by people that operated a huge rolling mill at one time... But just like all controls, when they shut down permanently, companies close down and people's lives are ruined... Detroit, Michigan

Took this unexpected shot as I was leaving MIA. I had been standing on a cement pillar to look over the chain-link fence to grab the sunset, and as I walked back towards the car this flock of birds was quick to return back to their spot to gaze at the sunset. T3i and Sigma 18-250mm.

It's 95 degrees in the shade outside. It must be something to do with the heat that prompted me to post this photo . . . it was either this, or one of me in a down parka freezing my tush off.

I wonder if the summer weather impacts our inhibitions. It's a time for shorts, miniskirts, summer dresses, sandals, tank tops . . . and masks. This little chemise seemed appropriate for the times.

I hope you're all staying safe . . and cool! :-)
