The National Ignition Facility's complex operation, alignment and diagnostic functions are controlled and orchestrated by the integrated computer control system. It consists of 300 front-end processors attached to nearly 60,000 control points, including mirrors, lenses, motors, sensors, cameras, amplifiers, capacitors and diagnostic instruments. The shot director must coordinate all 14 NIF subsystems when preparing for a shot.
The controls for the whole system are the three white units at the top. They are controlled by the bose controlspace processer (located lower in the rack, see the other pic).

Simple signal control card to detect the polarity of 12v momentary pulses used for two-wire Kato N gauge points (turnouts), in order to set station throat LED signals via 4 bistable latching relays (which hold their state even when power is off). The onboard LEDs show the current state of each relay for diagnostics. DIL connector pins are soldered in pairs for increased resilience.

“Your Call” is an opportunity for members of the public to step into the shoes of a police officer and investigate a crime, making decisions based on the information and evidence they uncover.
This case is not based on real events or people, but has been developed by officers working in these areas.
The app is a chance for you to experience how police investigate crimes and the importance that police play in helping police.
You may find some of the scenes distressing but remember the situation is not real and the scenes are portrayed by actors. If you need help details of support services are available.
