Local theatre producers had a provocative message for the Colorado’s teaming talent pool at a specially called forum last week: “Get to class.”

Representatives from theatre companies large and small gathered at Cap City on Jan. 12 to light a fire under the creative community.

“We’re good,” said longtime BDT Stage Artistic Director Michael J. Duran. “But good is not good enough.”

The origins of the fair related to St Giles' Church at the north end of St Giles'. This was originally completed in 1120, but the church was not actually consecrated until 1200, by St Hugh of Lincoln, a Carthusian monk and bishop. As part of the commemoration of the consecration, St Giles' Fair was established. The fair continues to this day, nowadays as a funfair, held on the Monday and Tuesday after the Sunday following 1 September, which is St Giles' Day.Autumn 2012

On the extreme left, you can see an area lit by natural light. The rest of the cave is lit by strategically placed lights. I'm guessing they have different filiments as they look reasonably similar to the naked eye...but the camera says otherwise.

This computer analysis shows the CA in MerlinsMans' looking for CA... 8751 taken with the Tamron 17-50mm f/2.8 lens. The CA has been amplified by ~6 dB (~2 f-stops). This enhance view of the CA should be used to identify regions of the original (full resolution) photo where you should look for the effects of CA. CA doesn't always result in a strong visible color tint in the original photo, but it often results in a general loss of sharpness and reduced resolution when a visible color shift isn't readily apparent.

Caveat: Be careful how you interpret this CA analysis. Some CA can masquerade as image content and can escape the digital filters. The digital filters will usually catch the edge of the CA, but may not capture the extent when it spans several pixels. The type of CA that slips past the digital filter is usually pretty easy to spot in the real image.

Tuesday, after the storm, the sun came out. I spent my lunch at Asylum Lake, stalking the sun. It was unbelievably beautiful. I had the place to myself, and I think that I was literally hooting and hollering with the wonder of it all.

Canon A590 IS running CHDKi, DNG processed with Adobe Camera Raw. I actually used the tiny little viewfinder on this thing, since the sun pretty much made the LCD unusable.
