If you don't know what CG is then here is some info on it.

CG Artists create 2D and 3D assets used in developing video games and digitally animated films. A CG artist's work usually revolves around finding balance between artistic sensibilities and technical limitations while working within a development team.

CG artists are typically skilled at creating both 2D and 3D digital art, and often specialize in one or more subsets of content creation such as: hard surface modeling, organic modelling, concept art painting, architectural rendering, animation, and/or visual effects. If the CG artist is a technical artist, they will usually also have programming skills such as shader and script writing, character rigging, and/or skill in languages such as Python, MEL, C++, or C#.[2]

My dear friends, thank you for your support!

It is now the fifth night of the war. We hold on, I hold on. Although it is difficult, because every call to relatives, every conversation, and every meeting can be the last. It's such a scary thing that you only realize when a military siren blows, announcing a possible air strike. And you know how ruthless and soulless the enemy is. At the same time there is no fear, you just feel this moment like never before, think about what is really important, and what you would like to do in this life. But if this is the last moment, let it be as happy as possible.

The body does what is necessary. Gathering. A clear plan in your head. And then you can't relax when the notification goes by and you can get some sleep.

I am lucky, my city is still relatively calm, but there is no confidence in anything. There is a preparation for the possible, and endless anticipation, pain for lost children, adults, and bold incredible superheroes military... a value that can never be compensated by anything. We will rebuild the houses, but we will not bring life back. And we will never forget this to enemy.

I never thought that this was possible, but here we are, completely different, older, more united, reborn and one hundred percent know who we are. I know who I am. Without doubts.

Optimism and faith in the future are what give us strength. And such great global support from all corners of our flourishing and unique world. This is incredibly valuable. I can't tell you in words. Thank you all so much!

I would not like to talk about money now, but it is also important, because we need to stand. I redirect part of my earnings to our army. And I with my family have to survive too. So if you want to support me, it will help a lot. Sign up for my Patreon here www.patreon.com/sonechko. I will return to content creation as soon as war is over. Soon I hope.

If you do not have the financial means, every word of your support is important to me. It really helps.

I love you and wish peace to all of us.

Even though uprooted and dead for years, this tree remains standing. This is as close to giving the finger to adverse life conditions as a tree can get. I am impressed.

To take this image, I had to get up at 130 am and hike for 90 min through a dark forest and across a pebbly beach. This was time spent in awe - I listened to the sounds of the night forest, I saw the sea opening up before me when leaving the forest and climbing down the cliffs and I watched three otters play and hunt.

I arrived into Thailand this weekend and have been in content-creation mode non stop. I did take a chance back at the hotel to process this one picture I thought y'all would enjoy.

(and yes that sun picture is real... it was burning through the bottom while still streaming light over the top).

This picture is of Wat Arun, a famous Buddhist temple in Thailand. I took it from a really cool little Italian restaurant across the way that is attached to a boutique hotel named "Arun Residence". I will stay at this place next time - be sure to get the balcony room at the top if you come... it's just over $100 a night.

In short, it was transformative. It seemed like there was always an orange sunrise or a rainbow around the corner when the day was difficult. I always managed to bring a positive attitude when things weren't going my way. 4am never looked so good. Content aside, it has been one of the best months of my life. Content considered, I don't know yet which pieces were keepers and which I'll cringe at in another month, but it's there now and it wasn't before. That is really something.

The 15 Day Content Creation Challenge closes registration doors today at 5pm PST. 40% goes to charity, and you pay only what you can. Join me and the over 500 participants this August as you challenge your own creativity and create content that you're proud of.

Lighting The Sails 'Songlines'

World Premiere, Sydney Only

Directed by the Head of Indigenous Programming at Sydney Opera House Rhoda Roberts

Co-curated by Sydney Opera House and Destination NSW

Visual content and animation created by Artists in Motion

Lighting the Sails for the eighth year of Vivid Sydney, Sydney Opera House will transform into an animated canvas of Australian indigenous art featuring iconic contemporary works from Karla Dickens, Djon Mundine, Gabriella Possum Nungurrayi, Reko Rennie, Donny Woolagoodja, and the late Gulumbu Yunupingu.

Celebrating First Nations' spirituality and culture through the songlines of our land and sky, this year’s Lighting the Sails is about painting and celebrating country through a pattern of sharing systems, interconnected history lines and trade routes. Lighting the Sails Director and Head of Indigenous Programming at Sydney Opera House Rhoda Roberts has selected six artists of different clans, national estates and territories for an immersive projected artwork that weaves through time and distance.

As the first indigenous work commissioned exclusively for the sails of the Sydney Opera House, this visual tapestry will weave through personal journeys, while celebrating the timeless themes and enduring art of Australia's most influential contemporary First Nations artists, exclusive to Vivid Sydney.

ABOUT THE ARTISTS

Karla Dickens (Wiradjuri)

Karla Dickens was born in Sydney in 1967; the Year of the Referendum that gave Aboriginal people human status. A double dawn for Aboriginal people; a major national political and social shift, and an innocent newborn seemingly as yet without any connection to her history and Aboriginal heritage. Karla’s Aboriginality and sexuality profoundly inform her work – her insight and breadth of artistic practice both deeply embraces the notion of identity politics and yet works with universal human experiences.

Djon Mundine OAM (Bandjalung)

Djon Mundine is a member of the Bandjalung people of northern New South Wales. Djon has an extended career as a curator, activist, writer, and occasional artist and is renown as the concept curator for the Aboriginal Memorial installation permanently exhibited at the National Gallery of Australia. Djon was awarded an OAM in 1993 and is currently Indigenous Curator-Contemporary Art at the Campbelltown Art Centre.

Gabriella Possum (Nungurrayi)

Gabriella Possum was born in 1967 and she is the eldest daughter of the internationally renowned artist Clifford Possum Tjapaltjarri who was awarded the Order of Australia in 2002. Gabriella is best known for her Seven Sisters paintings, with her iconic depiction of the Milky Way and she also paints Bush Tucker and Grandmother's Country stories.

Reko Rennie (Kamilaroi/Gamilaraay/Gummaroi)

Through his art Reko explores what it means to be an urban Aboriginal in contemporary Australian society. Rennie received no formal artistic training but as a teenager discovered graffiti which became an all-consuming passion. His art and installations continually explore issues of identity, race, law & justice, land rights, stolen generations and other issues affecting Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islanders in contemporary society.

Donny Woolagoodja (Worora)

Donny, Mowanjum Artists Spirit of the Wandjina Aboriginal Corporation (MASWAC) chairman, is the fourth eldest of ten children. His father, Sam, was the last of the Worora banmen (lawman and medicine man).

Donny's remarkable upbringing bridges the white Christian beliefs he became aware of at the mission churches and the ancient Wandjina laws his father taught him allowing him to move easily between his Aboriginal people and non-Aboriginal people.

Gulumbu Yunupingu (1954-2012, Gumatj)

Using distinctive white and black crosses on a red ground, Yolgnu artist Gulumbu Yunupingu (1945-2012) painted Garak, the starry universe, on barks and poles. She came to national prominence when she won the National Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Award (2004), and to international acclaim in 2006 with her scaled-up version of Garak on permanent display at Musee du Quai Branly (2006).

Artists In Motion

Artists in Motion is a Creative Project company that are highly regarded as pioneers of the industry. Known for their work around the world they still remain a proudly home grown creative force that produces all of their creations from their Sydney studio.

AIM is a collective of unique talent and experienced artists who have worked as a united team for several years. From the Epic to culturally emotional, they continue to transfix audiences of all kinds.

Under the creative leadership of Richard Lindsay, previous projects include content creation for the Beijing Olympics Ceremonies, Vancouver Winter Olympic Ceremonies, Hong Kong Pulse Shows, Alfa Bank Projection Moscow, 1st European Games Baku, the iconic UAE production “Clusters of Light”, as well as previous works for VIVID, including the popular Play projection on the Sydney Opera House.

I apologize for not keeping up terribly consistently on my Flickr stream of late. It has been a two-headed beast of work schedule and some traveling that has made me a less consistent poster. The traveling is behind me now, and has left me with a pile of new work to process through, but my work schedule is not likely to change any time soon.

It has been an interesting year (or four) in that regard. I have been pouring more energy into the content creation and social media work I do at Blue Moon Camera, and that work has been largely pretty successful. I see the fruits of that labor daily, it has led me to producing photography and writing in a way I would not normally have done so on my own, and overall it has been very fulfilling and fun. But I have to admit it has sapped what I have left for my own social media work, such as posting and writing here on Flickr. I have always had sort of a tepid relationship with how much of myself I care to invest in social media and now that reservoir has been tapped to a larger degree. I admit that sometimes I wish I had another five hours a day to be able to pursue my own postings and writings at a leisurely enough pace that it did not feel like work or obligation, which is what it tends to feel like when I have to shoehorn it into a 30 minute window at the beginning or end of the day.

One problem is that I am largely ok with letting it go a bit fallow, which should bother me more than it does, but doesn't. I feel like it should bother me because it is nice to be participatory in the photographic community online and to reach an audience that otherwise would not be interacted with. And I know that many find inspiration and motivation from my postings and I don't like becoming more inconsistent in sharing that work for those reasons. But at the same time, I have limits and what time and energy is left quite frankly I would rather invest in either creating images as that is the most rewarding part of the process for myself, or in polishing and bringing the raw material of the initial exposure to a finished, edited realization of the thoughts or emotions behind the creation of the image.

Anyway, I am just free-thinking here. I am still out there, still making a ton of images and actually I am still posting and writing quite a bit on-line - just in the guise of my work.

I didn't think I had much to say this morning, so I was just going to share something easy, as in my favorite bridge in the world during the recent changing of the seasons. I got out with my Pentax 67 loaded up with an expired roll of my favorite-ever film Kodak 400UC that I have been keeping refrigerated for some purpose or other. And I thought that would be simple, but I guess I had something to write about after all.

My name is Anthony Mazur, and I’m a sophomore at Flower Mound High School. At the start of this school year, I joined yearbook class, and quickly fell in love with photography, particularly sports photography. I’d go to every game I could and learn as much as possible. I never knew that one day it might launch a future career into photojournalism and content creation.

My yearbook class asked me to take a trip down to San Antonio, where the Texas Association of Journalism Educators held a conference, inviting schools from all over Texas to listen to speakers, experts, and professionals give advice during classes and seminars about journalism, photography, and design. For the $100 I was asked to pay to go on the trip, I think it was well worth it. In one of the classes I took at the conference, the speakers, a journalism teacher from Argyle and her student now working as an intern for the Dallas Morning News, told us the student began selling his work to media outlets and organizations, and telling us how photographers own the work that we shoot.

At the end of the class, I approached the teacher confused, and asked that because I was using a school camera, and using a school press pass, do I still own my pictures? She replied that I did. From that day on, that student and teacher from Argyle inspired me. I was filled with joy; I realized fully that this may be something I wanted to do for the rest of my life. It was my passion. So, I started selling my pictures to parents, tried licensing them to news organizations and get internships to learn as much as possible. It felt great to receive such amazing support from parents, players, and friends. I believed I found my place. One day, that all changed…

I was sitting in chemistry class when a blue office slip was delivered to me. A principal wanted to see me. When I entered the principal’s office, he asked me to close the door, and on his computer screen was my Flickr website where I posted all my pictures. Angrily, he told me I had to take it down, that I didn’t own my pictures, that what I was doing was illegal. I told him about Argyle, about the trip, about US Federal Copyright Law, which states whoever takes the picture owns the picture and can sell it. He didn't listen. Instead, he threw stacks of papers in front of me, threatened me with ISS (In-School Suspension), banning me from school activities, games, and from school camera equipment.

In addition, he gave me a concealed threat about asking for any money that I made off the site be returned to the school. He also made reference to reporting me to the IRS. Alone in a room facing him, with him threatening me like this, I’ve never felt so coerced before. In a later meeting with my parents, we were forced to sign an Administrative Directive agreeing to take my website down as to not have In-School-Suspension appear on my record.

My parents and I filed an appeal to the directive, citing Title 17 of US Copyright Law, the Texas Association of School Boards, and even LISD Policy (CY Legal/Local) which states that students own the pictures they take, even when using school equipment and on school assignment. Yet still, the principals of Flower Mound High School refused to listen, insisting that I was working on behalf of the school and that they expected them to be used only for school purposes, and claimed I violated students’ privacy by posting their image, despite the principals themselves posting pictures of the same sporting games I went to, on their social media.

Appeal after appeal, they have refused to listen. They have ruined my efforts to start a career. They have violated my copyright. They have violated my free speech. They have committed Prior Restraint against me. They have misinterpreted and misapplied federal laws and District policies.

I need your help. Now, it is time to stand up. This isn't just about me, or getting my website back up. This is bigger than that. All photographers, musicians, painters, writers, filmmakers- we are all ARTISTS. Our work is our own, and now, more than ever, it is necessary to support one another. Our art is being stolen. Our rights are constantly trampled on, and it is time to say we’ve had enough. I appreciate ANY support you can give. Just sharing this within your social network is a big help. Referring me to ANY lawyers or legal advisers is also appreciated! Flower Mound High School has chosen where they stand. Now, it is time for us. For the rest of history, our names will either be on the side supporting free speech, Title 17, and artists worldwide, or on the side of intimidation and coercion. It’s time for you to make that choice.

Thank you.

I have often photographed buildings and objects by Haveit Neox.

However, I failed to see that he also has a self-Sim. It's an incredibly rich and nested Sim. You can find buildings, galleries, exhibitions, and many more. There is also possibility to buy some of his objects and textures. You can stay there for hours and still find new. Absolutely worth a visit!

WELCOME TO ACC ALPHA.

The tropical centaurian architecture of ACC Alpha was built by Haveit Neox. Lush gardens soften the weathered builds. The sim is home to art galleries, libraries, games, sports, rowing, and cultural events. Please enjoy!
