I moved this fig tree, which is quite young, from being planted in the ground near this spot to being planted in this stock tank last year. I read about the fig tree's aggressive root system and got concerned about it being close to the house, so I dug it up (being suitably impressed with the root system it had developed in just a year) and containerized it. I read that containerizing fig trees helps increase yield, so that's a nice bonus too. I used a large container so as to water less and give it room to grow, and there was lots of nice space to underplant it. This photo is to help me remember (in the future) what I did this year.

A medical team utilize a containerized surgical block, newly-installed and in operation with support from UNFPA (under programs funded by the Governments of the UK and Austria, and UN CERF) to provide basic and emergency obstetric care.
The surgical block operates in remote areas of Cabo Delgado, including in Metuge district, where close and timely access to health facilities may be limited.
The medical team is grateful for the surgical block as they can attend to complications in a timely manner, as opposed to having to refer patients to a primary hospital requiring travel and additional time.

The Royal Victoria Dock is dominated by the ExCeL Exhibition Centre, constructed on the north quayside and opened in November 2000. This is where we were heading for the Women's Team Foil event.
Royal Victoria Dock was opened in 1855 on a previously uninhabited area of Plaistow Marshes. It was the first of the Royal Docks and the first London dock to be designed specifically to accommodate large steam ships.
The dock was an immediate commercial success, as it could easily accommodate all but the very largest steamships. By 1860, it was already taking over 850,000 tons of shipping a year - double that of the London Docks, four times that of St Katharine Docks and 70% more than the West India Dock and East India Docks combined. It was badly damaged by German bombing in World War II but experienced a resurgence in trade following the war. However, from the 1960s onwards, the Royal Victoria experienced a steady decline - as did all of London's other docks - as the shipping industry adopted containerization, which effectively moved traffic downstream to Tilbury. It finally closed to commercial traffic along with the other Royal Docks in 1980.

Harbor of Ravenna is protected by two long converging breakwaters extending more than a mile out to sea in a roughly triangular formation, with the entrance at the apex. The entrance is usually busy with commercial traffic. Yachts are not allowed to proceed inland up the channel or to berth in the commercial harbor and once through the entrance should therefore head straight for the entrance to the two marinas in an inner basin at the SW corner of the harbor about a mile WSW of the entrance. Yachts Visiting Ravena can seek a berth in one of the two marinas, Marina di Ravenna on the N side of the basin, which is run by two yacht clubs, the Ravenna Yacht Club and the Circulo Velico Ravennate, or Marina di Marinara on the S side. The entrance to the basin is immediately S of the port hand training wall leading inland and is accessed from due N, turning hard to starboard for Marina di Ravenna or continuing straight on for Marina di Marinara. Marina di Ravenna offers berths for up to 658 yachts up to 16 meters at its two yacht clubs; Marina di Marinara has over 1000 berths for yachts up to 40 meters / Port of Ravenna is an Italian seaport on the North Adriatic Sea in Ravenna, Italy. It is one of the top twenty Italian ports and top forty European ports. The port of Ravenna is the main port of Emilia-Romagna. The docks are mainly on a canal that connects the town centre of Ravenna (which is inland) to the sea which is 12 km away. The offshore breakwaters are in the little towns of Porto Corsini and Marina di Ravenna. It hosts shipyards, multipurpose terminals, bulk cargo terminals and a containerized cargo terminal. There are also a big passenger and cruise lines terminal and the biggest marinas of the Adriatic Sea.
