This vibrant metal pitcher is hand-painted with a charming folk art design. It features the Green Street Company's signature folk art girls. This pitcher makes a great addition for any folk art home décor. It also looks great with silk flower arrangments and other great accent pieces. A great gift for folk art lovers!
Size: 12 ½ in
The Green Street Company’s decorative folk painting is done on three-dimensional objects rather than on flat surfaces or traditional canvass. We paint on whatever surfaces that you may find around the house, in a factory, in an antique emporium, or even on a farm that looks like it may be given a new lease on life through painting. For example, the paintings that are included in this gallery were created on a number of different materials, including various metals, wood, and paper mache.
Acrylic is the paint medium that we use on all of decorative arts. Each piece undergoes a series of steps, e.g. preparing the surface for painting, sealing and sanding, staining, and base coating, to achieve a superior product. We pride ourselves on transforming mundane objects into beautiful works of art. Whether you are searching for a one-of-a-kind gift idea, adding to an existing art collection, or purchasing something special for yourself, you are sure to find what you are looking for here!

...I've seen a container terminal in Gabi~ 's photostream....it's a theme which I want to realize too
Container gardening is perfect for those in urban areas and for anyone wanting to garden with ease. By planting a container garden with mint and stevia, you will be able to enjoy tea anytime you want. Mint leaves and sweetener are the only items needed to make this fresh garden mint tea, so...

:-( :-( :-( Its always very sad to see plastic waste in the countryside. I wonder how long I will be stepping by this on my evening walk until somebody with a tractor or four wheel drive can get down to remove it. It did make a reasonably surreal subject for a photograph in an otherwise empty landscape.
Our C.S.A. farm gave us heirloom tomato plants as part of last week's share. I added purple basil and rosemary to the containers. I filled them with Moo Grow, a composted manure potting soil. There are probably too many plants in each container but we shall see. The containers are pretty deep.
The tomatoes, according to the notes written on popsicle sticks:
Black Zebra
Queen
Buffalo
Transparent
"Chero Pury" - maybe they meant Cherokee Purple?

This piece was raku fired: quickly at low temperature. Being the outdoor type I was eating a lot of dried fruit at the time and had built a fruit dryer to make my own. This new material came out called Gortex and so, I bought a piece and put it on a pot, with some fruit inside, thinking that the way it dealt with water would allow the fruit to dry without spoiling (water vapor would go out, but no air would come in). It didn’t’ quite work that way but I liked the colors. This piece also uses a slider knot to tighten and loosen the perlon cord.

We spotted this box outside a second-hand shop on Gloucester Road and thought it would be ideal as a garden container.
I noticed quite a few Amazon containers in NS stack trains during a weekend railfanning in Marion, Ohio. Shown is a westbound stacker.
How they get to the ones at the back I'll never know.
And yes, there is yet another FIAT Panda in front of us.

These are from the dollar tree. I am happy with them as containers for pastas and flour/suger, tea etc. ... oh and left over Dum Dums from Halloween that seem to be an endless supply. I think I must've eaten 100 - and they're are still a billion left! Anyway, these containers look like giant baby bottles and they are on top of the fridge but they work well to keep stuff away from mice!
