Word of the success of the Elizabeth Public Schools has traveled halfway around the World. On September 12, 2014, the Elizabeth Public Schools played host to the Cape Verde Consulate Dr. Valda Brito Cape Verde is an island country off the West coast of Africa. The Consulate was sent to EPS by the Minister of Education of Cape Verde to gather information about the district and its instructional practices. The Minister of education is planning a trip to the United States to experience first-hand the instructional programs and opportunities offered by the Elizabeth Public Schools.
Consulate General of India in collaboration with Insight for Creativity organized a special Hindi Poetry oriented inspiring and entertaining evening “Rang Darpan” to celebrate the rainbow of colors in the Hindi language. Consul General Mr. Sandeep Chakravorty gave his welcome remarks to the gathering. Combination of expressions in Hindi was presented by Mr. Ashok Vyas along with talented poets and artists which added colour to the evening. The poets for the evening were: Mr. Jaideep, Ms. Bindu Agrawal, Mr. Anoop Bhargava, Ms. Susham Bedi, Dr. RD S. Sethi, Ms. Swadesh Rana, Mr. Ashok Singh, Ms. Seema Khurana . Yogacharya Dr. Dayashankar Vidyalankar also recited his poetry along with the other poets.

Santiago, Chile: Peruvian food vendors protest outside the Peruvian Consulate against high licensing fees to sell food at the Peruvian independence celebrations. The Peruvian Consulate, which organises the annual party in Parque Bustamante on July 28-29, is charging 100,000 Chilean pesos (US$190) to sell food at the event.+

I was there for four hours, and got nowhere. The guy with his head in his hands is our representative from the Mongol Rally visa service, the Visa Machine, and he was under the impression that we would be seen at noon. We left at 4 without being seen. We have since been informed that the finger printing machine is broken and we will be able to get a visa without going back to the Consulate. Result.
