If you're an honorable construction worker, I apologize (and you're excepted) but I have NEVER seen a "profession" so rife with bad manners in my life. Construction workers litter as if there were French maids following them ready to pick up after them. They most often do NOT clean up after the mess they make as they work or even after they've finished the job. This mess was left by construction workers working on the living roof of the CA Academy of Sciences. You can design green, but you can't hire green workers, it seems. This pic is just the tip of the iceberg.

Up there among the steel trusses that support the massive roof of Delhi Airport's new terminal, an unknown, unnamed worker goes about his job. No one would recognize him even when he takes his mask off, but what he has built will serve the world for generations to come. Hats off to these workers, hats off to human enterprise.

Lehigh Valley Zoo made this banner when construction was in progress for Habitat Madigascar, a building that now houses two species of lemur.
The banner is up again, in anticipation of another building, which will be a home for red pandas. Slash, the red panda I occasionally post here, lives at Elmwood Park Zoo.
Largely inspired by Danny St's 5-sec Portraits, I've been taking very close portraits of people I talk to in Shanghai.
Sometimes, I get carried away talking to people. I love striking up conversations, overcoming barriers and just whiling the time away discovering lives of others.
