Healing Hands Foundation conducted free health checkup drive at Dr. Ambedkar Vasahat, Aundh Gaon, Pune. The camp was organised in collaboration with Anand Kamble Charitable Trust Aundh.
Upa-Mahapaur Sunitatai Wadekar started the drive by felicitating the HHF team.
On behalf of Healing Hands Foundation, PUNE, Smita Zade examined the patients and gave guidance about a healthy diet. Ashana Tamboli counseled them and helped them with free medicines. Anand Misal and Santosh Kamble helped with the setup. Camp organiser Anita Said organised the camp under the guidance of Dr. Ashwin Porwal(Founder-President, HHF), Dr. Snehal Porwal (Founder-Secretary, HHF), and Madhura Bhate(NGO coordinator, HHF).
Total 76 patients benefitted through the drive.
Special thanks to Anand Kamble Charitable Trust and Sunitatai Mitra Parivar for jointly collaborating with us and helping the public through awareness.

Social workers day, spent our way!!
On the occassion of Social Workers Day HHF organised camp at Mugawade, Tal. Mulshi.
Spreading awareness regarding constipation, piles, fistula, fissure,pilonidal sinus,hernia and vericose veins is necessary.
As age is no bar for such conditions.They can pose life altering consequences if left untreated.
Dr. Parth Sharma diagnosed 46 patients, Tejashree Khalate counseled them, Sumit Tupdhar, Anand Misal and Kiran Arde actively participated during the camp.
All the camp arrangement was done by Arvind Lagad(Social Worker) and team.
Special thanks to Sharada R. Bhore(Sarpanch), and all the honarary Members, Kriti Lagad, Ganesh Mengade, Kundalik Majhire, Mahesh Mengade, Dipali R.Durkar, Prateeksha Mengade, Pandabhau Ozarkar, Arvind Lagad, Aamir Bhore.

This plant is a common cause of poisoning in livestock in North America. Locoweed poisoning is "the most widespread poisonous plant problem in the western United States." Locoweeds cause locoism, a disease state resulting from chronic neurological damage. Symptoms of locoism include depression, blindness, loss of coordination, emaciation, tremors, paralysis, constipation, deterioration of the coat, decreased libido, abortion, seizures, and death.
Oddly, Animals affected include cattle, sheep, horses, goats, and wildlife such as elk and mule deer. Horses are very susceptible to the poisoning, and do not recover from locoism. Cattle, sheep, and horses find the plant palatable and even preferable to other forages, even when grass is readily available. They may become chemically addicted to the plant.Cattle tend to prefer the flowers and fruits of the plants, which contain higher levels of swainsonine than the leaves. One to three months of heavy exposure can cause death.
