#Childhood Nutrition is one of the three major factors that impact a child’s development, #Genes, and #environment are the other two factors.
Nutrition is important at every age. Young children, whose #brains and bodies are rapidly developing, need #nutrients and minerals to help them to grow mentally and physically.
Despite parents’ best efforts, kids may not always get all the #vitamins and minerals they need. Nutrition for kids is based on the same principles as nutrition for adults.
Everyone needs the same types of nutrients — such as vitamins, #minerals, carbohydrate, #protein, and fat. Children, however, need different amounts of specific nutrients at different ages.
#Learning a bit more about vitamins and minerals can help ensure your kids are on the right nutritional track.
#Carbohydrates and fats provide #energy.
Protein builds, maintains, and repairs #bodytissue.
Vitamins and minerals which support #growth and #development.
#Calcium is important in building strong #bones and #teeth.
Iron is an #oxygen carrying component of #blood that helps in expanding blood volume.
#fiber to prevent #heartdisease, #digestion, and prevents constipation.
Early years #Preschoolers quickly grow and change physically, mentally, and socially.
Nutrition is fundamental for good health and development. Without the right nutrients, #toddlers and pre-schoolers might struggle to develop the #skills.

Ecogeneration NGO has established a solar drier in Armenia with the support of AEIF project which dries organic fruits, berries and herbs without sugar, distributes to hospitals and clinics with special instructions for using them for removal of malnutrition, constipation, diabetes and other disorders. However, we lack a cold storage and are obliged to produce less and sell shortly after production. Cold storage will enable us to preserve our produce longer, keep the quality and increase the production volume.

One of the walkways around Brent Cross, as we were either hitching in or out of London in 1994. We found this racist graffiti, "Brown Shit Out Now". We thought it was funny to take this literally, and added after it "Join the Faecal Matter Expulsion Society today!" - and Merrick did a charming pose to accompany it. The association of racism with constipation seems wholly apt.

Farewell little cat ...
April, 19 : We go to a Cat Shelter. There is 3 kittens. Sid is maybe not the cuttest, but he is the friendliest. We have to wait 2 more weeks before the adoption, as the owner wants to make sure the kitten is healthy.
I notice Sid has a really big and round belly, I ask about constipation problem but it seems it's not the case.
May, 4 : We can take Sid home \o/ The owner tells us he got some vermifuge. He still has a rather round belly. But he's very playful :)
From May, 4 to May, 10 : He's an adorable kitten, he plays a lot, and often insist on sleeping on my neck - which makes reading books very difficult.
May, 10 : I have the feeling he didn't eat much today, I'm not 100% sure about that. He vomit a litte on the evening. I hope he's just trying to get rid of hairballs, because appart from that, he's still playing a lot.
May 11 : He looks very apathetic in the morning, and vomit some more... ok, so we're going to the vet. Verdict: worms... and maybe something else, the vet seems worried (especially about the big belly). He make several jabs and give vermifuge to Sid, and gives us some pills for him, saying that if he doesn't look better tomorrow, we should come back. He also gave a syringe without the needle so we can make Sid drink some water with sugar.
May 12, 7am : Ouch. Sid seems very ill. I try to give him some more sugared water. Maybe we should wait a little before going to the vet.
Oh well, at 8:30 we're in the car. The vet finds that Sid has a very low temperature and start to be a little dehydrated. She (yes today it's a woman) says Sid should stay at the vet clinic, but she seems really worried and tells that his chances to live are very thin.
At 4:30am there's a phone call from the vet clinic telling Sid died :( The vet think that's not only the worms, but also a virus that killed him.
Well ... I guess I had to write it down once for all. I'm trying to confort myself by thinking that Sid had almost a week of happiness here, the same would have happenned if he stayed in his little cage at the cat shelter, but without the happiness.
Now I learned several things :
- a big belly is not a normal thing on a kitten. It's likely to mean worms. It seems the vermifuge he got just before we adopt him wasn't enough.
- in general, if the 3rd eyelid of a cat is showing, it means the cat is sick. You can see the 3rd eyelid on that photo - even if it was taken on may6. I think that eyelid was slightly visible almost every day. I wish I knew that and noticed that before ...
- to see if a cat is dehydrated, pinch the skin on the back of the neck, and then release. The skin should fall back into place quickly, if not, the cat may be dehydrated.
I am also very scared to have another kitten. The only cats I knew before that were some strong and healthy cats, that almost never went to the vet. I hope I'll never have to use this new 'knowlegde' about cats.

1. Cleaning function. Say goodbye to the era of paper and better eliminate the viruses, bacteria, fungi or parasites of infectious diseases. Multifunctional cleaning can meet the different needs of men and women, long-term use can help the body's blood circulation, prevent constipation, hemorrhoids and other diseases.
2. The seat ring is heated. In the cold season, the cold touch of the toilet seat is annoying. The seat of the smart toilet cover can be automatically heated to a temperature suitable for the human body, and can be adjusted according to personal preferences.
3. Self-cleaning and power saving. The smart toilet uses a stainless steel nozzle with self-cleaning function, that is, after each use, the nozzle will spray a waterfall-like water flow to remove the contaminated dirt. In addition, we don't need to worry about power consumption. When not in use for a long time, the toilet lid will automatically lower the seat ring and water temperature, saving power consumption.
4. Drying. After the smart toilet is clean, it can also dry the water droplets through the drying system.

THE CONSTIPATION SENSATION
THAT'S GRIPPING THE NATION!"
Poor Nobuo had a horrible day yesterday. Early in the morning I brought him to the vet because of a possible nasty constipation problem (which is a lot worse than it sounds). It turns out he wasn't constipated at all but his bladder was plugged up. The vet did vettish things and unplugged his bladder and I brought him home in the evening. He got progressively worse until he was shaking and rolling around unnaturally, which made me very nervous so I took him to an emergency vet. It turned out his bladder got plugged up again and due to his diabetes, how much he didn't eat, his infection, and the insulin I gave him, he was in hypoglycemic shock. An IV of dextrose perked him up very nicely. I visited him twice today and he appears to be almost back to his normal, affectionate shelf (if you ignore the tubes going in and out of him). He has to stay at the vet a couple more days to make sure his bladder is fully flushed out and doesn't get plugged up again.
Taken for the "Me! Me! Me!" Photomission contest.
This is my angry face... don't think I show it around too much. I took it to contrast with my "Nobody home".

Pregnancy almost creates the perfect storm for possible hemorrhoid development. Constipation, the uterus growing as the fetus gets larger, and an increase in the progesterone hormone all increase the risk of hemorrhoids in pregnant women.

Dried leaves and stems were made into a tea or mixed with niu (coconut) and eaten by early Hawaiians.
Medicinally, pāʻūohiʻiaka was used to treat babies with thrush (ʻea), as a laxative for lepo paʻa (constipation), and for babies with general weakness (pāʻaoʻao). It also was used to help babies and adults with ʻeha makaʻu (frightening pains or aches). The plant was mixed with kalo (taro) leaves and salt for cuts.
Etymology
The generic name Jacquemontia is named in behalf of Victor Jacquemont (1801-1832), a French geologist and botanical explorer.
The specific epithet sandwicensis refers to the "Sandwich Islands," as the Hawaiian Islands were once called, and named by James Cook on one of his voyages in the 1770s. James Cook named the islands after John Montagu (The fourth Earl of Sandwich) for supporting Cook's voyages.
