Macro of the Bose radio in our living room here in Altadena. It makes beautiful sound and I have it tuned constantly to KUSC, the classical music station in Los Angeles at the University of Southern California. The piece playing was a concerto for three violins by Tellemann. If you love classical music and have trouble finding a station in your area, I would urge you to try their streaming service on the internet at KUSC.org. People around the world enjoy this station! And, sorry that my camera and I became part of the photo!

Taken on Skomer Island a puffin with a handsome catch of sand eels to take to its young pufflin, these birds work incredibly hard for there catch only to return back to there burrow to be constantly bombarded by large herring gulls eager to rob the poor puffins of there catch

It's been a crazy few days...
Thanks to everyone who looked at my last pic (and this). I appreciate the appreciation - assuming it was your cup of tea! ;)
Timeline needed some color! This was a fun day when we had 3 gorgeous males 10 feet away and eye level or lower. Best part was putting the lenses down when all of the tickers and followers would come and watching them just stroll right by, as they never take the time to just look around for themselves. Hands behind their backs looking like Indiana Jones.
I count four nests in the same oak tree located right next to the lake. In between gathering food for the babies they are constantly running off every other bird species that come close to the nests. There is an exception! The Red-winged blackbird and the Eastern Kingbird mingle in each others nest sites freely. This bird is directly over the blackbirds nest.
This was a tricky shot because of not knowing which orientation would work best. I tried horizontal mode to capture the dog trying to run after the kite boarder in the water. But then the sail got cut out of the frame. It was constantly moving high or low with the brisk winds. Then with portrait mode I barely got everything in before the boarder took off with the wind and left the dog behind with a person on shore. I have taken off, too, on a mini holiday to visit family. I shall be in and out on Flickr.

As a way to cope with circumstances beyond my control, survive and work to keep fighting for life I decided to try to take at least one photo (or more) each day. I call this “a photo (or more) a day.” Practicing this form of therapeutic photography helps me work to focus on the present moment, gives me something familiar and enjoyable to focus on as I use photography skills that have become like second-nature to me and being able to view the images I capture helps me recall what I was thinking, feeling and noticing at the moment when I created the photos. I may not always have the energy, time or capacity to share photos from this series—especially with the very challenging circumstances my family and I are experiencing—and will do my best to continue taking a photo (or more) a day even if I’m not able to share.

The beautiful network of travertine rock formations that forms in Havasu Creek gets blown away every so many years by flash flooding. Sadly I didn't find any exceptionally well formed terraces below Havasu Falls during my visit, but I was able to find these small cascades. In a few years, this area will probably look completely different.

It's not just night herons here. The birds are known to be willing to nest with great blues, egrets, and in this case, the odd mourning dove. Sounds nice and peaceful until nothing but constant fighting breaks out. Maybe this fella wanted a little peace from that crowd.
A los constantes cambios de imagen de lo que nos queda de la antigua Feve se han sumado ahora los trenes turísticos. El Al Ándalus y el Costa Verde Express ya no volverán a lucir sus colores característicos, pues una nueva decoración exterior ha sido aplicada a ambos trenes, mientras el resto tiembla. A este último vemos en la imagen, que tras años de popularidad internacional como el 'El Transcantábrico Clásico' le cambiaron el nombre y el itineraro y le colorearon una franja de verde de modo que concordase con su apodo y con el paisaje que le rodea. Parece que solo fue algo intermedio entre la nueva librea y la «Clásica», que ahora es historia. Ya solo queda el recuerdo de este mítico tren, que a pesar de que planee seguir cabalgando por nuestras vías lo hará como un extraño. Quien no variará será la locomotora, que aún conserva diferentes logotipos de las épocas de Feve por las que ha pasado como tatuajes imborrables sobre su origen.

Girando per l'isola, vicino a Capoliveri, ho trovato questo angolo ideale per scattare foto particolari, questo è come lo vedo io, ... certo che la panoramica delle montagne allineate sarà stata fotografata moltissimo. La vetta più alta è del Monte Capanne.
Per me posso dire che ho trovato interessante avere le montagne, allo stesso tempo scoprire il sentiero che porta fino al mare, oltre a questo, proprio lì vicino alla strada dove comincia il sentiero per il mare ... c'erano tantissime libellule, per cui ho avuto questo esemplare vicinissimo anche se difficile vederle ferme, continuamente volavano.

Going around the island, nearby Capoliveri, I found this ideal corner to take special photos, this is how I see it, ... of course the panorama of the aligned mountains will have been photographed very much. Tha highest peack is from Monte Capanne.
For me I can say that I found it interesting to have the mountains, at the same time discover the path that leads to the sea, besides this, right there near the road where the path to the sea begins ... there were lots of dragonflies, for which I had this specimen very close even if it was difficult to see them still, they were constantly flying.
Trying to keep the celebrations going, but I somewhat doubt that the balloons (or in reality) balloon will last that long! It is my husband's wish anyway.
Obviously I am continuing to have fun with experimenting with video creations. What fun to have the possibility of constantly learning. I wish that you all experience as much fun as I do with your creations!
