A much better shot of the newly designed console area. I found the two vintage Phoenix birds in Philly this weekend. More photos at peacockfeatherevents.blogspot.com
This is originally an A/C-equipped car, but the compressor (a newer Sanden unit) is out of the car (but included in the sale). the stereo is an old high-end Clarion unit and used to have a CD-changer in the trunk. I have new lighted pieces for the HV controls in the dash. The shift pattern is still 4-speed, but there is a 5-speed transmission in the car.

My idea for covering the holes was to cover with a Starboard tray that I screwed and sealed down. Yes I left a drain in one of the corners.

This is one of four completed bases for the media console. This photo shows the finish reasonably well. The finish is a multi-step process of dyeing, staining, burnishing, and then about four coats of polyurethane. The photo doesn't really do it justice.

Aerospace Engineering Professor of Practice George Halow designed the X88 courses to work in conjunction with each other and with industry partners. The courses grew out of research that indicates academia and industry are not making all the necessary connections in terms of preparing students well to go into the work force. For the 2023-2024 year X88 focused on eight projects co-developed with corporate partners: creating a hack-proof drone with Belcan, two projects with Blue Origin: designing the payload for the next Shepard rocket and a launch with the MASA Student Project Team, a VR/AR portable console with Collins and Siemens, a wheelchair accessibility project with Collins, a sustainable aviation project with General Electric, machine learning for drones with Leidos, and a hybrid electric propulsion project with Pratt Whitney. The courses focus on teamwork, industry design schedules, trial and error and real world applications.
