A lifelong Madness fan, Tom Dunne will be singing in the hit West End musical Our House, based on the music of Madness, at the Olympia on June 15-16 in aid of the suicide prevention charity Console. Starting life as a WW2 decoy station and later a Ground Controlled Intercept (GCI) radar site, the site at Hack Green was upgraded as part of the ROTOR programme in the late 1950's. Building a R6 type, two level concrete bunker for military command and control (C2) and serving as a joint military and civil air traffic control centre. This function ceased in around 1966 when the complex was mothballed but remained under Government ownership.
In 1976 the site was given a new lease of life when it was taken over by the Home Office, modernised once again and operated as a Regional Government Headquarters; coordinating the civil response in the event of nuclear attack. The cold war was coming to an end, and eventually in 1993 the site was decommissioned.
Now in private hands, the bunker has been a cold war museum since 1998 and boasts some very unique exhibits including what is reputedly the largest collection of decommissioned nuclear weapons in the world, and a rare Ballistic Missile Early Warning System (BMEWS) console from RAF High Wycombe.

The flowers that were bought the day of the wedding to decorate the ceremony were just as cute if not cuter than the flowers I ordered months ago.
I just want to give Apple a giant hug for giving Console the most magnificent log browser. I dreaded the console back when I did a lot of cocoa, not any more. And imagine using Capistrano to fetch all of those pesky logs for you, no more logging into that shitty ass Windows Server 2003 box in Miami to double check if the mail server is still running.

Korean handheld console which is virtually unknown in Korea. Uses SmartMedia cards. It's an open system, so lots of homebrew was available. I also have one of the few commercial games.
The only console I have that I'm the only owner. I've replaced the "gamebit" screws with other screws, and broken the two tabs out so that it can play Super Famicom carts.
