These 2 porcelain half dolls are both small, but the one on top of the cotton reel is really tiny. Whatever secrets they're sharing, it looks as if they should be taken quite seriously. :)

"Optimism is the faith that leads to achievement. Nothing can be done without hope and confidence."

Ain't that the truth! Lose hope and what is left. And confidence, it helps to have a healthy dose

No one can deny that there is complicity between these two people.
The postural image, the distance, the gesture,..., all this exudes complicity.

Candid street photography from Glasgow, Scotland. Indeed this was captured candidly without rehearsal or posing though, as with my eye contact shots, she was aware of my lens just a split second before the shot.
This confident young woman was walking down the street with her arms folded, it was her bright red hood that caught my eye and, following the shot, we exchanged smiles afterwards.
Confidence is key for street photography. I often get asked for tips and tricks in shooting street and if I can offer just one piece of advice, just be confident in what you do. If you look nervous you end up looking dodgy and that attracts attention and confrontation. Confidence is key. Enjoy!
Confidence... thrives on honesty, on honor, on the sacredness of obligations, on faithful protection and on unselfish performance. Without them it cannot live. Franklin D. Roosevelt
I just wanted to briefly explain why I chose this for CONFIDENCE. = Because this perfume (when I wear it) gets me the most compliments than any other perfume EVER. I love the smell and I love how I feel when I wear it.. *VERY CONFIDENT*. So I feel that this is the perfect photo for the challenge!.

I am aware that I'm quite behind in my challenges for my 52weeks. I've decided that next year I am not doing 52weeks next year, I plan on doing my 100x and I already know what I'm going to choose for my X. ;) *Stay tuned for that*. However, since I am an active member of 52frames.com (and absolutely love it) - that's enough for me. I'm so busy with life & I feel bad that I'm so behind on this challenge.. and it's actually bothering me/giving me anxiety. I don't like NOT finishing something.. and if I have to finish it into 2022.. I will complete it. I just won't join it next year, unfortunately! (Two challenges is enough for me!)
I feel so bad that I'm this behind, it's literally weighing on me!
I have been busy ! Just life. I know I haven't been updating often enough.. but I am here!
I will do my best to return comments when I can! There are many, so please be patient! I hope that you all are doing well. I am doing good. Grateful every day. Two weeks ago I started going back to church and I'm so grateful for that. Since covid began, and the church shut down/went virtual and then changed the hours and went to outside.. and then my hours at work changed.. I haven't been going. Although I must admit, I feel like I have become closer to God in these times! I was praying more & more- trying to get closer to God. I began reading the Bible (Juan and I agreed that we're going to do the audio version from start to finish- a few verses before bed.. I'm learning A LOT). Anyway, I am so grateful that everything worked out and we're back in church again! It means the world to us. We're born again Christians.. & so grateful. We just wish we would have found God (in this way) sooner. But it's never too late, he never left our side.. thru out our struggles. & He welcomed us back with open arms! He forgave us for all of our sins.. And we vow to always put GOD first, and then each other next... It is the only TRUE WAY to be. & It's the best decision we've ever made. We're so happy... Amen!
Have a beautiful week everyone!
Take care.. stay safe & healthy!
& I look forward to checking out all of your new photos!
!!! Much Love!!!

kairouan - tunisia
Sidi Obka mosque.
For centuries, the Great Mosque of Kairouan has served as a pilgrimage destination for North Africans not able to make the long trip to Mecca. According to popular belief, seven trips to Kairouan was worth one hajj to Mecca.

Prekestolen is a wonderful hiking destination, especially for children, who managed the hike in half a day. The effort was not only rewarded by the fantastic views over the Lysefjord, but also by the fact that I was able to show my children so many other things during the hike. The path runs across a plateau and a marsh called Krogabekkmyra. There were also a few tricky spots that were a little narrow and made us respect the height here.
A fantastic experience that we will remember for a long time.
