This is a image that I had put to the side after I shot this in 2014. I was asked by Liz recently if I would please edit a fresh image from this shoot for her. How do you tell a woman this beautiful no. This is a great example of an image that didn't make it originally but I think works well now.
One of the assignments for my photo training was to create a series of portraits. Most students opted for female models in beautiful dresses. I just wanted to try something else. Two good friends of mine, Roger and Jean-Paul, pretend to be an electropop duo. It's kind of a running gag. They have made up stage names and are already designing record covers. The band’s name is "Voixmala", a corruption of the Finnish word for "Kraftwerk". The only thing missing is music :-) We have used the photo assignment as a promotional shoot for the band. We really had fun in the making.
P.s. Jean-Paul really is an outstanding musician!

The Mrs and I stopped to photograph the car pictured below (comments). When I asked the owner for permission, we encountered the one and only Sondra Fortunato. If you Google her you will learn what we did later when we got home: that she is famous. She couldn't have been nicer and we've become, let's say, "Fascinated". You can also check a couple of the tags to the right!
Confidence CUD221Y (61) is a Leyland Olympian with ECW bodywork. Seen near the depot at South Wigston, CUD221Y was new to City of Oxford as their 221.

This was a very lucky, unplanned shoot and my first time working with the lovely Jamie J. Our other scheduled models didn't show, we had some photographers standing around looking at our feet and Mandy, one of our shooters, decided to call her roommate - Jamie, and the rest is history. Jamie is a blast to shoot with, she's fun, classy, adventurous, and is a current Eagle Rock girl.
