A great closeup of Jaybrie Brown from our shoot some time ago. Adhering to the same theme of simplicity here. I love the contrast of his shirt with his skin. I'm also diggin the shallow depth of field that draws your into his eyes. This was lit with a large octa boomed overhead and a 64" PLM directly behind myself and and the camera. If you look in the eyes you can see the catch lights from both modifiers.

Wandering the streets, in a world underneath it all
Nothing seems to be, nothing tastes as sweet
As what I can't have
Like you and the way that you're twisting your hair
round your finger
Tonight I'm not afraid to tell you
What I feel about you.
I'm gonna muster every ounce of confidence I have
and cannon ball into the water
I'm gonna muster every ounce of confidence I have
For you I will

A CASE'd card from a stamping magazine. I used similar colours and the same sentiment, but different flourish and flower. This is a one layer card that used some masking and distress inks. The main sentiment is from Kaisercraft and the flourish and little wildflower are from Hero Arts.

Way back in the dark days of January we did a small group shoot at our house. Whitney showed up with some great outfits and her A game. Fun shoot even though it was pretty cold in the garage - Whitney is such a trooper!
I took these photos back in January 2019 in Star, Idaho.

The poet Giuseppe Ungaretti with his siamese cat named Kiki, a gift from the writer Alberto Moravia.
Photo taken in an interior of the house Ungaretti in the Aventine district in Rome in the Fifties.
Ungaretti lived with his wife Jeanne Dupoix and their daughter Ninon on the ground floor of the villa in piazza Remuria on the Aventine in Rome. Ungaretti will abandon this house only after the disappearance of his wife Jeanne in 1958, to go to live with the daughter Ninon. The poet had a real passion for cats, fortunately shared by his wife Jeanne. The cat Kikì had a very calm temperament, preferring to crouch in solitude on couches or beds, without giving confidences to strangers. But she was also very jealous of her "masters", coming to hurt the little Ninon once she was ill and object of all the attentions of the Ungaretti. After Kikì came to the house the famous Bobosse who had the honor of being portrayed in bronze by the sculptor Pericle Fazzini.

I don't normally post pictures of bus depots - but I'll make an exception for two in Leicestershire. First is Confidence Motor's very small and traditional backstreet yard in Spalding Street, Leicester. Seen here are three of their extensive and well-maintained fleet of Leyland Olympians. Two originating from West Yorkshire PTE and one from London. Most of their buses live at a much larger, but less interesting, modern base on the other side of the city.
