Misshaped, unnatural, unsuitable, anormal, freakish...
These are a few adjectives given to a group of veggies and fruits they are all part of a very discret underground Organization called The International League of Defective Fruits and Veggies.
And their numbers grow every day...
We condemned them. All our Supermakets and markets did... while severe inspecting each and every one of them in our so-called 'Quality Control' protocols and considering them aesthetically inappropriate for consumption.
Now they lurk through the veggies underword... thinking, planning, plotting, dreaming ... on how to... one day ... they will finally start their revenge plan against all supermakets.
Yes! The supermakets... that horribly cold place that refused them a long time ago. That denied them all the last shred of veggie dignitiy they had...
So they meet. And they plan. Every night.
They dream of being able to one day have no mercy against hydroponic veggies. They dream with the aggressive abolition of pesticides that are considered by them the biggest responsible for their veggies mutations. They dream with the outlawing of frozen veggies and the unfair competition that they represent against the fresh, yet usually more flawed veggies.
So they meet. And they plan. Every night.
Someday. Somehow.
Soon....

One of the most beautiful orb-weaver spider in my opinion, but hard to find.

Le Marais de Kaw
La Réserve Naturelle des Marais de Kaw est l'une des six réserves naturelles crées par l'État français en Guyane. Cette réserve est la troisième réserve naturelle de France de par sa superficie (94.700 hectares), après celle des Terres Australes Françaises (2.270.000 hectares) et celle des Nouragues (100.000 hectares), et la plus vaste zone humide de France. Elle a été créée par décret le 13 mars 1998 à cheval sur les communes de Roura et de Régina et englobe le petit village de Kaw.
La plaine mais également la montagne de Kaw sont connues pour leur fort endémisme mais également pour leur biodiversité exceptionnelle. En effet, la forêt de la Montagne de Kaw possède la plus forte pluviométrie de la Guyane, ce qui expliquerait qu'elle aurait servi de refuge pour la faune et la flore lors des périodes de grandes sécheresses de l’ère du Pléistocène.

The holiday season is officially upon us! I promise I'll stop posting these now, as I'm putting all of my non-Christmas toys away. My favourites in this shot are the wooden gnome in the upper right corner, the cheeky little chipmunk with the hat just below him and the singing cockatiel on the bottom.
Je me suis amusé un jour à éplucher des concombres pour la confection d'une salade composée. Mes doigts étaient encombrés et c'est avec plaisir que je les ai pris en photo pour immortaliser l'immense travail fourni pour la bonne cause.
CUCAMELON - ZEHNERIA SCABRA - MUISMELOEN
"melothria scabra" - "Mexicaanse mini-komkommer" - Melothria punctata - scabra 'Cucumelon'
Mexicaanse mini-komkommer Zehneria scabra is een klein decoratief komkommertje dat lijkt op een meloen, maar de smaak is onmiskenbaar komkommer. Het wordt ook wel cucamelon of muismeloen genoemd.
Opvallend leuk in allerlei gerechten als garnering, maar ook om in te maken als augurken.
