I wanted this concept to be a lot more random and playful, based on the song. Palm trees flying out of a trumpet, rows of people dancing on a checkered floor, and offset type in all directions. The band's "logo" is seen on the record label in red and forms the plane sign.
This concept is the first one I designed to be featured on another site. The jersey is adapted from the colours and logos of the original Metropolitans, from the 1910's.

This is a sketch I did earlier this week for a custom made needle felt Dodo.
I wasn't aiming for an accurate portrayal of a Dodo bird but more along the lines of an aide memoire - note the suggestion of a large butt, bulbous beak, tiny wings & feet.
I hope I have captured the essence of the bird in my needle felt sculpture. Check out the almost finished Dodo.
