I love the concentric circles made by ripples on water, these remind me of other natural circles like lily pads and tree rings
Macro Mondays Theme Onion Family
There seems to be a faint aroma of onion wafting through the house! 😄
I apologise for this image of yet another red onion. I spent this morning trying out alternative onion family members but in the end came back to this one.
Frame width is 5cm
Happy Macro Mondays and Happy 1st May! 😊
Macro Mondays
Theme: Natural Shells
Size: Less than 3x3 inches
I positioned a small sea shell ( 4mm diameter) in the smaller hole of a sea urchin shell and back lighted it with an LED torch light, there is an incandescent light at 11 o'clock and another LED torch light at 4 o'clock. I then focus on the small shell through the bigger opening of the sea urchin shell. I also adjusted the WB for incandescent light and I end up with these colours.
Many thanks for your visit, comments and favs..it is always appreciated..
Happy Macro Monday

============================
This is the old convent of Sant Salvador d'Horta at the feet of the Muntanya de Santa Bàrbara, near Horta de Sant Joan. Three saints for this place.
This convent, established as a franciscan congregation in 1542, was known early on as Mare de Déu dels Àngels, but changed to Sant Salvador d'Horta after this (later) saint lived here for a while. The church is gothic, so it's much older than the convent itself, probably built by the Knights Templar, who ruled this area in the Middle Ages.
It was sacked several times, and abandoned definitively in 1835.
This was a yellow-orange rose, not from my garden though. I bought a bouquet of roses at the grocery store one day.
