這是我自上了藝術史後的第一批作品。藝術史告訴我，不要往後看，猶豫作品是否夠好，是否夠藝術感？或是擔心別人會怎麼說？ 只要忠於你自己，表達你自己，就是夠好的作品。
對我這個太自信的人而言，這大慨是最容易做到的事了(^^)。
Klaar voor wederom een spannende onthulling. Een dierbare geportretteerd naar aanleiding van verhalen en foto's. Wat een dierbaar kado. Met trots zal ik, na maanden werken, dit schilderij onthullen. Dankbaar voor deze mooie opdracht.

Geschokt door het plotseling overlijden van Guus Knoops (58). Enkele jaren geleden portretteerde ik hem als de kleurrijke man die hij in alle opzichten was. Het is mij een grote eer dat het door mij vervaardigde olieverf portret, niet alleen bij zijn afscheid stond maar ook gebruikt is op het kaartje ter nagedachtenis. Hij was een bijzonder en aimabel mens. Hij zal worden gemist. Ik wens zijn familie, vrienden en allen voor wie hij dierbaar was, veel sterkte bij het dragen van dit verlies.
