It's actually very possible to buy within this building the components to assemble your own monitor. Likewise, there were stores selling unpopulated RAM module PCBs, and you can if so inclined buy your own RAM chips and solder together your own RAM modules...

It's not my main computer but I hadn't used it for months and when I start using it again it smokes. Replaced Power Supply because we knew it was bad but that didn't fix it, so replaced the Motherboard and that didn't fix it so now we're just shotgunning everything. I think it would be a good time to buy a 5K Retina iMac :)
