My computer crashed & burned today...I think it was some type of virus that merrily dismantled all of my system files...hope to salvage some of my wedding photos from out west but I'm not feeling too hopeful. Anyone else ever have a similar experience?

Time for a thorough cleanout and agonizin' reappraisal. Among the old stuff back there was a parallel DB25-Centronix printer cable, and a DB25 serial cable with full 25-pin null-modem adapter (for talking with a long-departed Sun Ultra2). Oh, and a dust rhino or two...

This is my then(2019) new desktop. For years I have owned laptops but I was tired of the limited abilities. My first desktop I had was I think a Windows 93 or 95? I had that back in 2006.

This is the most powerful computer I've used and I've been told that I don't use it to it's full potenial.

I thought it would be fun to recreate this with my laptop and photos of my face. It's a shame- the mock up of the computer screen looked really cool and retro in real life but it didn't quite come out in the photo so I had to superimpose the screen back onto it!

This seemed to be one of the central systems of the Jumbo Javelin (cargoship). There were knobs and switches to turn on and off all kinds of stuff that was related to the engines. As you can see there were many screens, dial indicators and some warning signs. So it looked rather impressive. It felt like I was suddenly dropped into a 1950s sci-fi decor instead of a ship.

Everything needs repairs. So does laptops, PC and Computer need repairning.
