Ok this is not a photo, but after all Flickr is about image, isn't it?

So this is what have kept me busy approximately from September 2011 to April 2012. What you see here is a capture of the 4mn animation two friends and I made, and presented at a contest hold in Germany during Easter. It ended 2nd, out of 9 entries.

The gist of the competition is the very tight size limit the entries must not exceed: 64kB. Music, 3D models, textures, everything must fit. Yes it's very tiny: this jpeg capture alone is already several times over that size limit. Well this technical aspect is of little interest for most people. Regardless, I hope you will enjoy the images and the story.

I invite you to watch the full animation on Youtube: F - Felix's workshop

And if you have a rather recent PC with a fast graphics card, you can try the binary.

Nah, just kidding. Haha!

Anyway, this is my rendition of the ill-fated M/V SuperFerry 3 might look like if she survived long enough to serve under Aboitiz Transport System.

My rendition of the JumboCat series (HSC SuperCats 1,2,3,5,7,8 and 9) moored on a calm lagoon. I excluded the railings and radar masts at the upper deck of the vessel. The above image closely resembles to that of HSC SuperCat-I, formerly HSC Öregrund in Hong Kong and currently the HSC Moorea Express in French Polynesia.

The base photo (the ship) was done thouroughly in MS Paint while the remaining stuff are processed using GIMP.

The final version of the JumboCats will be sequentially uploaded soon in order of appearance at the ports of Calapan City and Batangas City :)
