...and transfers the theme into the new world of bits and bytes.... mankind newly created by the science of computer...
Gates (title) in the double sense of the word
This piece has been very successful as a wedding gift and I am now taking commissions for friends or family weddings you may go to. All the elements can be changed to suit the person e.g the cat can be a dog, the car can be a motorbike etc

Due to flickr restrictions I've decided to group some of the work done lately on Agony software in a video which can be seen here with better quality than @ YouTube
Two mugs made in Blender 2.53. Of course, one is a duplicate of the other. It's just basic materials but I will do another one when I have the image I want to put on it which will involve UV unwrapping. There is an excellent tutorial here
The terrain in this one was generated in "World Machine", and there's some post Terragen work on the sky.

This is not really a new henna-mehndi design, becaused it is based on a design I created 2009. I began this series of khidab paintings after my stay in Yemen in 2006.
Since I have noticed over time that many people prefer a small individual design, I am going to include three variations of a design in each PDF instead of just one page: the individual design element, the full design on hand and feet, and a mirror image to make it easier to draw on both hands.

When I have designed 20 patterns of it, I will sell them all together as a book.
More abstractions drawn from bud pics - so far all have been created from the same photo, viewable here: bit.ly/1GFvQJo
. . . . Great Staffa.
A Terragen2 render.
The bushes are by Mr_Lamppost, the Spruce trees by Floraworks. I've lost the reference for authorship of both Mountain Ash and Pine trees; apologies there. I photoshopped a post Terragen pic of a girl looking into the landscape 'cos I think it lends the scene more focus. It's something I'm drawn to do.
ps. "The Paps" are hills on the island of Jura, and basalt cliffs are found on the island of Staffa, both off the west coast of Scotland.
Output from the further modified Python program. Colors are randomly selected but restricted to a list I generated. This is 1000 iterations of the program's loop.

automata.ungun : a processing-generated animation of guns decaying over time based on accumulation of pixelswapping being done to an array of images of handguns.
this work extends the project i have worked on periodically in the past, the ungun project, visible in the portfolio section of station-number-six.com, my website.
the work is hosted on a raspberry Pi and projected in the gallery.
This is the video compilation from each epoch of the GAN (General Adversarial Network). This is the AI that made the image of the above-titled work. Run on GPU and Google Colab.
In this single Pdf sheet three different butterflies are depicted. Each butterfly comes in three positions: A side view right and left as well as a view from above .

I hope in a few days the same file will be available also at www.henna-und-mehr.de/franz/bestell5.html (French)
Modified Clifford attractor formula,
I modified the formula.The values of x and y are restricted in a rectangle .
xn =(d*sin(a* y) -sin(b*x))-a*cos(x-c);
yn =(c*cos(a* x) +cos(b*y))-b*sin(y-d);

Beautiful pattern, this is a part of the set generated by student programs.
I've taught compilers for many years, like CS 134. A compiler is a program that translates your words into a program that can be run by a computer. It is more complicated than that of course, but that's the idea.
For the final exam, we compiled programs to generate fractals, showing the Mandelbrot set. This is pure math, but it has beautiful images illustrating chaos (like my life!)
These are images from programs produced by a working compiler... [I remember my words, "Don't complain so much, you signed up for this class!" Actually, Caltech kids are pretty smart, they learn fast.]
We used tools by Jef Poskanzer (photostream) to produce the final images that you see here.
