Exterior of the Mayfair Hotel in Coconut Grove, Florida

If you don't get it, I'd understand. Back in 1989, my workplace had a T1 line going into the building. T1 is 1.544 Mbit/s. It was pretty much the best you could get from the phone company in those days and cost big money. These days, your cable modem usually works faster than that. I took this sign to mean that they had a T1 feed to the hotel. Ranks right up there with color TV and air conditioning. I'm not sure, but it was probably faster than that. They had the usual Wi-Fi there. The closest unit to me did not seem to be connected to the net. The second closest worked.

he really didn't want to pose in front of this tiger. however, i am his older sister.

I realise this isn't a sketchbook in the normal sense. I used to be a prolific drawer throughout my childhood and youth, and with painting, as a young adult. This gave way to collage and alternative forms of creating. I'm now very much a computer geek, doing much of my visual work there. I use craft, assembly, and construction to give my stories and images form. And, I have recently returned to my lifelong love of sewing, bringing in embroidery and applique to make new textile based art and crafts. As for this so-called sketchbook, it's more of a concept piece, a bit of altered book art. It fits the brief only in that some portion of the moleskin remains, and the pages hold a series of experiences in time, found objects put into a sketchbook.

My new Samsung 1TB SSD Drive, I think they have spent more on the packaging than the drive. But how the hell can this be 1TB, when my freaking desk top that is the size of 4 shoe boxes is only 500 gigabite. Technology, changes everyday, soon this will be the 8TB drive.
