The Sweet Spot philosophy *isn't* so much about finding a good spot for you - but knowing where the 'good spots' will be for the enemy.

Obviously it helps is you can find a nice safe spot for you as well in order to take advantage of this technique!

Fantasy Art and Portraits showcases the art from fantasy computer games. We feel Art Lovers shouldn't have to buy and play games just to enjoy great art. It is our mission to bring the art of computer games to Art Lovers who might otherwise miss it.

And because computer games offer the chance to enter the artist's vision, play around with it, and make your own pictures, this is also a site for Writers looking for cover art and Roleplayers looking for portraits for their characters.

If you like fantasy art of all kinds, come follow our blog!--We introduce fantasy art *every day* (and not just computer game art).

This is a hand drawn map from the early 1980's based on one of the first computer games, Colossal Caves Adventure. The game is one of the original text based fantasy games. The player entered commands through the keyboard and the system responded with informational messages about location, items, events, enemies, and other things in the area. Instead of relying on someone else's images and video, the player is required to use their imagination to "see" the game.

I bet a lot of people bought Heroes of the Pacific for the PC based on screen shots like this - only to discover that it just doesn't look this good in-game. Oh dear!

Disclaimer: Don't ask me how this happened, but taking a screen shot in the 'Reply' mode improves the look of the game ten fold! It doesn't look as good as this during normal play! (IMHO)...If it did it would be an OK game, instead of a crap one!

Ghost Recon 'classic' - the first in the very successful Tom Clancy Ghost Recon computer game series. This is my all time favourite game and - believe it or not - I am just about (April 2009) to re-install it once again on my PC!

This was another game that kept us Apple Mac gamers very happy through some very thin gaming years...

Milgeek.co.uk: Gaming review: The last ten years (or so...)

One of the most fun things about BlizzCon is all the awesome costumes.

The team training - of squad commander initiation - section of the newly released ArmA2 demo. To be honest this was one of the part in the training I found a little bit confusing - with so much to remember and layers of command control keys and menus to learn.

However, I am sure the real 'sim-heads' will love the level of detail and that has gone into making this game the ultimate in RTS/FPS cross-overs.

I have written down some very brief initial thoughts about the game here: Milgeek's ArmA2 early impressions

Barry Caudill and Dan Magaha of Firaxis spoke about their roles of Game Producers at the UMBC Digital Entertainment Conference.

A screenshot from the game.

Firsflook is the gaming and pop culture event of the Benelux where the latest games, gadgets and hardware shown for the first time to the Dutch and Belgian players and where all aspects of "nerd culture" are offering. Think of Cosplay, eSports, and (for the first time in 2016) Comic artists and a huge marketplace.

I doubt if there is any more satisfying weapon in any first person shooter than the flame-thrower in CoD: WaW (except maybe the cat-boomstick from Postal 2)!

During the Welcome 2020 activities at the Telok Blangah Mall organised by the Telok Blangah Grassroots Organisations.

I took this particular screenshot because it seems ridiculous that a) this person could steal the Staten Island Ferry b) it is considered a national treasure and c) people would be grateful it was returned. Just a thought...

Liefje is doing a 3 way piggyback...haha!

Er, what?

Shades of 'Crimson Skies' as I take on a huge Nazi airship over the pyramids - my old Dad (who served in North Africa in WWII) would be wetting himself!

Blimey! Apparently we British had something to do with World War II - who'd have thunk it!

The Grumman Hellcat - like it's predecessor the Wildcat - served with both the American and British naval air arms. In fact it's a overlooked fact that British Wildcats made the first Wildcat aerial kill a year before the American Wildcats did...

Anglo-American rivalries aside, the Grumman series of naval fighters were superb combat aircraft and some of the best fighters of the war - often forgotten about in favour of their air force counterparts.

en.wikipedia.org/wiki/F6F_Hellcat

In Royal Navy service the Hellcat was initially re-named the 'Gannet' - ironic considering the tubby appearance of the plane! The British fielded the Hellcat successfully against German fighters like the Me109 and the FW190!

In American service the kill rate against the Japanese was legendary - a truely wonderful machine.

She's a pro - really a good model, she looked into every camera with the same intensity. So don't thank me, I was just there to capture it :)
