The Computerspielemuseum Berlin (Computer Games Museum Berlin) was founded in 1997. From 1997 to 2000, it had a permanent exhibition in Berlin. Afterwards, it became an online only museum. In 2011, it reopened its permanent exhibition in Berlin's neighborhood of Friedrichshain. During the first month of its permanent exhibition, it had 12,000 visitors.

Played some Heroes of the Storm tonight. Hadn't done that in a while. Was good to stomp some A.I. opponents for practice!
When we were creating the story-telling game for the Pictures of the Floating World site, we wanted to test the concept. Breton created this little set and these simple puppets.
We took these to a school and asked kids to use them to create a simple story. They had a choice of three or four backgrounds and about six characters. We used cards to represent props, but they didn't work so well. I don't think any group used them.
Most of the kids loved the idea. Four groups created stories. The best story was a wonderful tale about a drowning woman saved by a wicked witch. The most banal was a Street Fighter-derivative fight scene on a bridge that went on forever.
In the scene shown here, the old man is Tsukahara Bokuden. He is fleeing from Ibaraki on the shores of Lake Biwa.

The eagle eyed among you will notice that I chose to take out the bomber with one of my rockets! Perhaps not what they were designed for, and very hit and miss, but close in they do the job.

Big bad bruisers - like the psychos - will just keep coming at you. But they are slower - but have greater strength and can take a lot of punishment.

First drink of the day - it maybe only 8am here, but I'm sure the sun is past the yard arm *somewhere* in the world!
This marks the start of my marathon '24 Hour' gaming session. Cider is my chosen beverage today (aside from the occasional cup of tea and Lucasade Sport to keep me going).
The game schedule will simply swing between Call of Duty 4 and Left 4 Dead.
The above cider is one of Aldi's cheap brands, but if you stick ice in it then it tastes exactly like Bulmers - but at a third of the price.

Heroes of the Pacific: The first version of the Bearcat available to you in the game is this rather nicely coloured F8F.

Wings of Prey (demo): Here I fly my Lavochkin La-7 over the rooftops of Berlin!
I actually went a lot lower than this and had a bit of a 'Star Wars' moment as I actually flew down between the buildings themselves at one point!
Only at near grown level do you start to see the real computer generated nature of this map, from this hight the city scape looks wonderfully authentic though.
Not a bad revolver - think of it as my handgun sniper weapon. Moderate power but with a nice scope for picking off enemies at range and a 6 round capacity.
But the best thing about this gun is it's +13 ammo regeneration - so it slowly restocks your revolver ammo when you use it. This makes it worth hanging onto.

Ebenezer and Kathleen Goth are hosting a pool party at their palatial mansion ... the crafty matchmakers are throwing the affair so that Andre Deppiesse can meet Paula O'Conner, (woo-hoo, woo-hoo) ... the other guests are former public servants Kenneth Deppiesse and Christopher Long who are friends of Eb and Kathy ... Eb was begat by Balthzar who was begat by Rupert who was begat by Alexander who was of course the son of Mortimer and Bella ... if you're not a Sims-oholic, you don't know what the heck I'm talking about, do you :-)
