Many shop fires are caused from air compressor motors sparking when the start up. I have designed this room that will be completely incased in 2in foam to help with noise control, then covered floor to ceiling with slate (just not on the ceiling.
Technical detail of the drive line : engine, compressor, gearbox with forward-neutral-reverse, column change...(20 gearwheels in total):
