Turn the steering wheel, and you will hear a piece by the Belgian composer Heleen Van Haegenborgh specially composed for this model resonate in the Concert Hall and the Chamber Music Hall. This annual Contest is unique in the World, in the sense that the humanitarian and activist Organization "Amnesty International" has chosen Italy 25 years ago as the seat of this competition which prizes NOT primarily the music but, instead, the meaning of the lyrics, the texts of the authorship original songs, all in defense of Human Rights. Since 2014 I never missed one sole edition.
HER won the contest 2020 in the emerging artists session while Nicolò Fabi won in the session of the "Big" already popular ones.
Her has been invited again to take part as a special guest during the new annual Kermesse in July 2021.
Amnesty International has celebrated in 2021 its 60th Anniversary.

She was he, now she is Her: musician, violinist, composer, singer, performer, theatre actress ... I met her in 2020, before she sung second time and asked her to pose for me. When I first listened to her song "The world never changes / Il mondo non cambia mai" I decided, I like HER!!
She accepted to pose for my shooting. 45 minutes later she won the contest :-)
Every year I choose an artist to portray outside the stage, In the last 4 years I always guessed the winners. Eventually I am not a juror of the contest commitee but just a voluteer unofficial stage photographer. Andrea Artusi aka Artax is the official one. Luckily we work in harmony and he behaves rather well, but, when I turn videos,he always passes by few times covering my videocamera :-( I forgive him, he is too simpathetic!
HER has been invited in the contest of July 2021 too and has posed for me again telling me I brought her fortune, lol.
So, more pics of her are yet to come in the next few weeks or, at least, within the end of this year.

Claire Leplae is pleasingly described in Google as a “Compositrice Belge”. She served as an expert to UNESCO on the extreme Orient, and became President of the Belgian Sociological Society. As I write this three of her books are available in paperback: “Le travail de la femme.", “Les fiancailles : etude sociologique” and “Pratique Religieuse et Milieux Sociaux”. Furthermore she composed works for piano and chamber music. I would be invited to hear her play and make comments. I can’t remember any of my comments. Just as well (I was more into The Who at the time, but she did introduce me to the music of Eric Satie and Darius Milhaud). I appreciate having known her and it pains me I wasn't old enough to talk to her more sensibly. Her manner was awkward. She seemed to be talking to a space in the middle of the room rather than to you, coughing on her cigar smoke so that you never knew if she was coughing or laughing. This is reflected, I think, in her piano music which is reminiscent of both Satie and Bach, but is forever tripping over its own feet. The last time I saw her my five year old son thundered about in her flat and she said “But he’s always so quite in this photographs!”

Clairette, my godmother, is pleasingly described in Google as a “Compositrice Belge”. She served as an expert to the UNESCO on the extreme Orient, and became President of the Belgian Socialogical Society. (Last time I checked there were three of her books available in paperback: “Le travail de la femme. 1, Les femmes universitaires : étude sociologique des diplômées de l'Université de Louvain”. “Les fiancailles : etude sociologique” and “Pratique Religieuse et Milieux Sociaux” Université catholique de Louvain (1835-1969). École des sciences politiques et socials). Furthermore she composed works for piano, and chamber music.

Dora Pejačević (1885.–1923.) bila je prva hrvatska skladateljica koja je stvarala u velikim glazbenim formama poput simfonije i koncerta. Potjecala je iz plemićke obitelji Pejačević iz Našica, ali je svoj život posvetila umjetnosti, ne društvenim konvencijama. Bila je iznimno obrazovana – govorila je više jezika i poznavala europsku književnost i filozofiju. Njena Simfonija u fis-molu, op. 41 smatra se prvom modernom hrvatskom simfonijom. Bila je povezana s intelektualnim krugovima Beča, Leipziga i Budimpešte te je dopisivala s poznatim književnicima, među njima i s Karlom Krausom. Umrla je mlada, u 38. godini, nakon poroda, no njezina glazba danas doživljava međunarodno priznanje.

Issue d’une famille noble de Našice, elle choisit la voie de l’art plutôt que celle des privilèges aristocratiques. Très cultivée, elle parlait plusieurs langues et s’intéressait profondément à la littérature et à la philosophie européennes. Sa Symphonie en fa dièse mineur, op. 41, est considérée comme la première symphonie moderne croate. Elle entretenait des liens avec les cercles intellectuels de Vienne, Leipzig et Budapest, et correspondit notamment avec l’écrivain Karl Kraus. Décédée à seulement 38 ans après la naissance de son enfant, son œuvre est aujourd’hui redécouverte et célébrée dans le monde entier.

Born into the noble Pejačević family of Našice, she chose a life of creativity over aristocratic privilege. Exceptionally educated, she spoke several languages and had a deep interest in European literature and philosophy. Her Symphony in F-sharp minor, Op. 41, is regarded as the first modern Croatian symphony. She was connected with intellectual circles in Vienna, Leipzig, and Budapest and corresponded with figures like the writer Karl Kraus. Pejačević died young, at the age of 38, following childbirth, but her music is now being rediscovered and performed internationally.

L'abbesse Hildegarde von Bingen (1099-1179) découvrit les vertus aseptisantes et conservatrices du houblon permettant à la bière de mieux se conserver. «L'amertume du houblon combat certaines fermentations nuisibles dans les boissons et permet de les conserver plus longtemps», écrit-elle.
Le houblon a des propriétés sédatives et hypnotiques.
On a observé que les récolteurs de houblon avaient tendance à s'endormir au travail.
Le houblon renferme aussi des substances proches des oestrogènes.
Il paraît que les femmes qui participent à sa cueillette sont réglées deux jours après, quelle que soit la période de leur cycle.
Au Moyen Âge les moines vont mener à bien de multiples expérimentations sur la fabrication et l'aromatisation de la bière. On avait toutes sortes de bières: bière à l'écorce de chêne, gentiane, coriandre, sauge. Le houblon va finir par s'imposer.
Jean Sans Peur, duc de Bourgogne, imposa le houblon comme arôme principal de la bière. Jean Sans Peur meurt en 1419 après avoir créé l'ordre du Houblon.
Hildegarde de Bingen, religieuse, compositrice et femme de lettres, sera faite "docteur de l'Eglise" par Benoît XVI le 7 octobre 2012. Sa fête est le 17 septembre.

Shelly Phelps rappresenta un elemento di spicco nella comunità musicale dell'Oklahoma dove è nata e cresciuta all'interno della comunità rurale di Byars.
si è esibita sui palche sin dalla tenera età di 6 anni ed è stata allevata con una dieta di country tradizionale e gospel ,ha imparato a cantare le armonie con le sue numerose sorelle e fratelli.
Ha risentito delle influenze di vari artisti dai e Rolling Stones ai Beatles a cantanti ed cantautori quali Carole King e James Taylor. Phelps, a notable element of the Oklahoma Music Scene, was born and raised in the tiny rural community of Byars, Oklahoma and has been singing on stage since the tender age of six. She was fed a steady diet of traditional country and southern gospel and learned to sing harmonies with her seven brothers and sisters. She was influenced by the music of her older siblings, ranging from the Rolling Stones and The Beatles to singer/songwriters like Carole King and James Taylor. But it was when she discovered Jazz and Motown that she began to absorb the sounds of artists like Billie Holiday and Ella Fitzgerald and Motown greats like Stevie Wonder, Marvin Gaye, and Martha and The Vandellas. In her early career, Phelps performed in several bands ranging from country to rock to R&B and frequently fronted the Latin Jazz band, Salsa Nueva. In 1997, she formed the R&B/Rock band “Shelly Phelps and The Rhythm Junkies”, an Oklahoma City favorite for more than six years.
In 2003, Phelps teamed up with Rhythm Junkies guitarist, Rob Vollmar along with bassist, Warren Roach and drummer, Erol Coulter to form The Shelly Phelps Band, focusing on original rock music with a soulful and jazzy edge. In 2004 the band released a collection of versatile original songs with their album, “Girl on the Wire” to enthusiastic reviews. Preston Jones of the Oklahoma Gazette wrote, “Working with the rock-solid rhythm section, Phelps’s distinctive smoky vocals wrap themselves around these barroom vignettes like so much satin.” The band paid tribute to the music that shaped their musicianship, resulting in a hybrid of their artistic influences. “Girl on the Wire” has it all as far as song styles, from a touch of funk to country, from samba to rock solid R&B. And Phelps’ smoky vocals handle each one, aided by her strong and steady three-piece backup. But something special happens when she goes to R&B, the genre that she absolutely owns.” writes Kevan Breitinger of Indie-Music.com.
Acknowledging their accomplishments and successful musical collaboration, The Shelly Phelps Band disbanded in 2008. Phelps is currently recording a new collection of edgy jazz pop under the working title, “A Distant Notion”. The songs will encompass the inspiration, expression, censorship, and legacy of art and artists. “As with all of my songs, there is also an underlying theme of personal enlightenment, love, life, loss and social issues. Phelps adds, “I’m exploring the more jazzy side of my voice and stretching my songwriting ability.” Phelps expects to release “A Distant Notion” (working title) in the fall of 2008.
Phelps founded The Oklahoma Songwriters Circle in 2004 and in addition to her musical talents, she is also a graphic designer.
