When I read the theme for Flickr Friday this week I thought of the Rembrandt painting of a changing of the guard. It's a favorite of mine since its a master class in composition using both line and light to guide the viewers gaze around the painting. This is no match for a Rembrandt but it's practice for when I may get a chance to pose my family for a group photo. Camera is a Sony A7R3 with a Canon FD 28mm f3.5 at f8. Happy Flickr Friday! Almost two months ago I did a shoot for the local ice hockey club. They wanted shots to be used on promotional materials, giant banners and what not.
In this shot is actually a designer I worked with, we had a bit of fun after the first day of shooting. The "models", who were just the players from different age groups, wore clubs jerseys and equipment.
I decided to create the composite with this one. We shot on white backdrop, and the background for this I got of some free site, forgot which one.

A composite shot of Convict Lake in the Eastern Sierra. The Milky Way would never be in this location. I took a Milky Way shot from another location the night before and added it to a toned down daytime shot of Convict Lake.
Convict Lake is lLocated west of Highway 395 in the Eastern Sierra of California.
Composite of three of my Hurricane Ridge pictures. The individual pictures looked good, but this looks better.
Composite image to highlight the contrast in colour, Mrs left and Mr right. She is quite a bit more turquoise but no less dazzling.

30s on the milkyway in woolpit and 30s on kirkstone pass. Photoshopped together. Still practicing....
Having studied sculpture at a German academy of arts, I was always disappointed that a great deal of sculptural form and surface gets lost photographing rock formations at night - even when applying low level lighting. Therefor I made a series of pictures using daylight shots of the landscape combined with the milky way sky. This series was taken at a location about one mile east of "Valley of Dreams" in New Mexico, all shots facing south.
