Hello my amazing Flickr friends !
Today is a pink or purple day at Color my World Daily and we have a very awesome theme at Smile on Saturday: composite images.
I must admit it wasn’t an easy one for me. I’m truly a huge fan of composite images and I would love to be able to create awesome pictures and magical composite worlds… Unfortunately I’m not very skillful at picture manipulation and I rarely use composite pictures in my photos. Maybe that is something I should learn. This theme is perfect for starting this learning process. And here we have this composite flying world which doesn’t make sense at all. Maybe it is an alcohol induced vision which was in my head, who knows ? I hope you will like it and I hope it will make you smile ! Of course it involves an egg... floating egg.
Mucho, mucho amor for you all !!
Thank you so much for all your lovely comments / favs/ general support / happy thoughts!! Stay safe and well!!

I've never seen a moon in the sky that, if it didn't take my breath away, at least misplaced it for a moment. - Colin Farrell
It's an archive image from late Spring last year. A pair of Tree Swallows was circling overhead and dive bombing me repeatedly...I was apparently too close to a nearby nest...so I took the opportunity to try for some shots. At least two of these birds, and maybe all three, are actually the same bird. :-)

Composite of a Supermoon image with a long exposure taken on the Southern California coast on an overcast day. Processed with Photoshop, Lightroom and a cloud overlay texture.
I used Photoshop to combine these Cuckoos into one image. The Black-billed Cuckoo is from my Michigan Photo Journey in May and the Yellow-billed Cuckoo is from this past week here in Georgia.
The image shows the differences in the beak, eye, and tail feathers in one easy to see format.

I did a pair composite of this species a few years back but I wanted to improve on that with a more natural looking final image. I knew with the irruption of this species this winter at that location I would have an opportunity to get some images I could work with to that end. I am happy with this one just wish there was some falling snow.

Ron and I were plagued by an aggressive Green Heron, who, whenever the kingfisher arrived at the snag, would possessively chase it off. We called it "The Bastard" which inspired this composite which I call "Bastard Landing". Wishful thoughts may have been behind the making of this composite.
In no way is this presented as an accurate rendition of this scene. The sky was taken during the fires in Yellowstone and the lake image was severely under exoposed so almost no detail.
