The Dorut Tilavat Complex in Shakhrisabz, Uzbekistan, is a historic memorial ensemble from the late 14th to early 15th centuries, centered around the tomb of Sheikh Shamsiddin Kulol, a revered Sufi and mentor to Amir Timur’s family. It includes the Kok Gumbaz Mosque, known for its striking blue dome, and the Gumbazi-Seyidan Mausoleum, built for Timurid nobility. The complex, meaning "House of Meditation," features intricate Islamic architecture and serves as a significant cultural and religious site.

Situated at a distance of 22 km from Badami and 478 km from Bangalore is one of the most celebrated tourist centres of Karnataka. According to inscriptions, Pattadakal was a progressive city even prior to the rule of the Badami Chalukyas and called Pattada Kisuvolal (Red Town). It was the headquarters of the administrative unit of Kisukadu. Pattadakal saw the Badami Chalukyan art in full bloom. This temple complex is on the banks of the Ghataprabha River and offers enchanting natural surroundings. A large number of stone weapons found along the river bank and the presence of huge stone dolmens nearby are clear proofs of earlier inhabitation here in the pre-historic period. The complex is surrounded by high walls and has two entrances. The world-famous geographer Ptolemy (150 AD) has documented the town as 'Petri gal'.

Wat Pho is a Buddhist temple complex in the Phra Nakhon District, Bangkok, Thailand. It is on Rattanakosin Island, directly south of the Grand Palace. Known also as the Temple of the Reclining Buddha, its official name is Wat Phra Chetuphon Vimolmangklararm Rajwaramahaviharn.
The temple is first on the list of six temples in Thailand classed as the highest grade of the first-class royal temples. It is associated with King Rama I who rebuilt the temple complex on an earlier temple site, and became his main temple where some of his ashes are enshrined. The temple complex houses the largest collection of Buddha images in Thailand, including a 46 m long reclining Buddha.
The temple was also the earliest centre for public education in Thailand, and still houses a school of Thai medicine. It is known as the birthplace of traditional Thai massage which is still taught and practiced at the temple.
