While the protest was a declaration of JNU's op~9siti6n to imperialist policies, we also witnessed how some student groups like NSUI and YFE chose to be the ·local agents and spokespersons of the US. They raised slogans in favour of US foreign and economic.policies thafare devastating countries all over the globe and tned to defend the visit of Richard Boucher under the ple.a f "freedom of expression".
