Compact. Dans "Amélie Poulain", ce Kodak change la vie d'Amélie. le code de datation de cet exemplaire est YTSO, soit 0976. Ce compact fut fabriqué en Allemagne (Kodak Ag) de 1972 à 1977, il utilise les cartouches 126 pour des vues de 28x28 mm. Objectif fixfocus, f:11, appareil équipé pour le Magicube, aucun réglage.
Comparing the Canon IXUS 275 HS (built in 4.5-54.0mm zoom lens) v Canon EOS 600D with a budget (sub £70) Yongnuo 35mm prime lens...
The subject is a backlit (using a MiniSun LightPad - daylight balanced), etched, clear glass paperweight. That the angle and aspect ratio is very similar, is pure fluke!!! Honest! Both cameras were hand held. No tripod was harmed during this shoot LOL.
More interestingly, the IXUS recorded (EXIF) a focal length of 10.31mm (58.14mm equivalent), at ISO 200, aperture f4.5, and shutter speed 1/500, in P mode (there is no M mode). Whilst the EOS, with the prime 35mm lens (56mm equivalent), was ISO 200, aperture f2, and shutter speed 1/250, in M mode.
Whilst the result from the IXUS is a little harsh, with evidence of vignetting, it's a valiant effort from such a small camera with a tiny lens. Then again, with the EOS, the glass in a Chinese budget prime lens is hardly going to be exceptional.

Now I have one of the best - 1535 model .. and it's a fangefinder 35mm film camera in very compact body with shutter speed in 1/1000s .. great ;)
Compact 24x36 autofocus, motorisé n° 05116163 à exposition et flash automatiques, fabriqué en Chine et destiné au marché américain (le nom "infinity" est réservé par Olympus pour les USA). Sur le site de Olympus America, il est nommé "Infinity XB QD", mais on ne trouve aucune autre information. Sur d'autres marchés, il se nomme AF-10 XB. These compact spring supports were custom designed and built within 4 weeks to support a pump for a facility in Wyoming. The housing was fabricated from A-36 carbon steel and hot-dipped galvanized to protect them against corrosion. The disc springs are engineered using the stainless steel Belleville disc springs designed for large loads but small movements. In this case, the springs are designed to support a load of 11,137 lb. and movement of 0.018" (upward). Each assembly underwent load testing prior to shipment.
The compact size and resistance to corrosion attributes of these compact spring supports make them ideal for placement under the discharge piping of a pump at this facility. By using these compact spring supports directly on the pump, excessive thermal loading on the pump's discharge nozzle is resolved and brings it within the pump manufacturer's allowable limit, so the pump will operate safely, as intended which also results in extended life and low maintenance.
I think this is a hoverfly (although I am teetering on soldier...I really need to work out the distinction...

After I showed you my Nikonos SB 105 here are two more things from my under water photography stuff I bought already. This is a normal diving lamp, but really small and powerfuel. Before this I got the larger brother "mini compact". But I will use this as a focus lamp and so it has to be light and small.

My Sailor Moon compacts came in from J-list today! I’m currently working on a shadow box to display them in. They are super pretty in person but do have a few flaws, but hey what else would you expect for $3 gashapon toys.
Jaguar revealed today its latest compact performance SUV with sports car looks and performance, the new Jaguar E-PACE, to the Middle East’s automotive enthusiasts during Dubai International Motor Show, which is open for the public until 18 November 2017. This is the first appearance that the new Jaguar E-PACE is making in this region and visitors to the motor show can see the vehicle at Jaguar Land Rover’s stand in Sheikh Saeed Hall 1 – SS105.

The 275 GTB/4 (or 4-cam) was a substantially updated car; built by Scaglietti, it featured new bodywork and was the first Ferrari to not be offered with wire wheels.
Power came from a substantially reworked Colombo V12, still with two valves per cylinder but now with a four-cam engine and six carburettors as standard. In a departure from previous Ferrari designs, the valve angle was reduced three degrees to 54° for a more-compact head. The dual camshafts also allowed the valves to be aligned "correctly" (perpendicular to the camshaft) instead of offset as in the SOHC Ferraris. It was a dry-sump design with a huge 17 qt (16 L) capacity. The individual cylinder capacity remained unchanged at slightly under 275cc, which as before gave the model the first three digits of its name, and when multiplied by the number of cylinders equals 3,286cc total swept volume.
This bizarre but charming little oddity is apparently a Willam Sulky from 1977, powered by a Lambretta scooter engine.
