Como is a city in Lombardy, Italy which is the administrative capital of the Como Provence. It is a popular tourist destination due to the close proximity of Lake Como and the Alps. The famous scientist Alessandro Volta is a native of the city of Como. Como is situated at the south-western tip of Lake Como, approximately 40 kilometres north of Milan.
