Mr. Lion who seemed to be talking to the plants, was actually talking to Carrot: Meow. Carrot, are you there?
(After 10 seconds)
Mr. Lion: Are you sleeping Carrot? This is Lion.
(After 20 seconds)
A quiet voice replied: Woof. I'm not sleeping. I'm very much awake.
Mr. Lion: You told me that you were made used of yesterday. I understand the situation now, or maybe I understand now. Are you feeling having more confidence in my neighbor? Or Sparrow B?
Voice: All men and women are probably the same. They are greedy and selfish creatures. They want many things, and because of greed, they never get satisfied and demand even more. I can't say that I have confidence in your neighbor because she is a human being, but I probably have more confidence in Sparrow B.
Mr. Lion: Btw, what is Sparrow B? Have you seen her before? I thought I saw her on TV but that long hair being is actually a man. So I'm a bit confused.
Voice: No comment.
Mr. Lion: Why do you have more confidence in her?
Voice: Because I had a look at her summer dream. I like the idea of her being the buddy of the pinetree sweet corn, and also talking to it to encourage it. I think her chirps will be quite cute. She sounded quite a kind and simple soul. She isn't greedy too because she said she will wait for it to grow back if it's not of a good size to eat. You know, it's no good to over fish. Over fish = fish has no time to rebuild its population = then one day no more fish. Of course I don't eat fish like you do Mr. Lion, if you eat any. I'm a dog. Fish isn't my cup of tea but I'm just giving an example.
Mr. Lion: Hmm, can't imagine when there is no fish to eat ...
Voice: And Sparrow B actually wants Mr. Blackbird's heart more than the food. So I think she emphasizes more on feelings than once-eaten-it's-gone-kind-of-thingy. Although feelings are something that is undefinable? Can't scope it? But when it's there, it's really there. It doesn't go away that easily. Although feelings might fade someday, that's probably beings didn't make enough effort to maintain what they built, to deal with the problems they have. But Sparrow B sounded like she is quite a stubborn fellow. So she might be stubborn in dealing with problems she has with Mr. Blackbird, or even with the pinetree sweet corn. But I shouldn't be putting too much confidence in Sparrow B now too. In case I get disappointed later. After all I haven't met her.
Mr. Lion: Hmm...
Voice: Probably you won't be able to understand what I've gone through because you have been a lucky cat. Your two young owners want to play with you and you are young too, so you like to play with them. But considering my age? I'm going into my 40s = human equivalent age. There were tricks I could easily do in my 20s, but not that easily when in my 30s. I can't jump that high now. I panted quite a lot.
Mr. Lion: Actually you don't have to jump, but just have to walk more, like me. Walking is good actually. My neighbor likes walking, but just lately been a bit lazy too, but walking helps to relieve some stress too.
Voice: But what could you do when eyes were watching you to perform stunts? Do you hide away? I wish I could hide in somewhere where no one finds me at those times. But I couldn't and I just froze, not knowing what to do. I know walking is good. I like to walk too. Smell the fresh air of the woods, or the saltiness of the sea. Get in touch with the nature.
Mr. Lion: Hmm.. I think I understand your situation.
Voice: Maybe you do, maybe you don't. Usually you have to go through the hardships yourself to know what is true hardship.
Mr. Lion: I see...
Voice: But anyway, I am not totally rejecting your neighbor or Sparrow B, especially Sparrow B.
Mr. Lion: So you plan to meet them someday?
Voice: .... no comment.
Mr. Lion: OK, I won't press you for an answer. But if you need someone to talk to, like my neighbor, I can talk to you too. After all, we are all pets.
Voice: Well a bit different. You are a cat, I'm a dog. Dog likes attention more than cats. Sometimes I wish I am a cat then I can be less bothered with all these. I see that you are yawning now. Cats sleep a lot isn't.
Mr. Lion: Yes. it's time for me to sleep.
Voice: Good night then.
Mr. Lion: Good night. And say good night for me to Mr. Might-be Vampire too - I believe that's what my neighbor and Sparrow B would want to tell him. Oh yes and also to Mr. Black Bee?
Voice: Who's Mr. Black Bee? Ooo . i get it. Will do. Bye then.
Mr. Lion: Nice talking to you.
