Every year, DLA and MWR join forces to recognize its military and civilian workforce for their dedication and commitment to the overall Department of Defense (DoD) mission and to those who provide us with the freedoms that we enjoy every day! DLA and MWR hosted one of the most anticipated events of the year! The 2019 SummerFest and Organization Day took place on August 14, 2019 from 11:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m., at the Installation Fest Area (Riverview Golf Course Practice Range). This year’s event featured a special live musical performance by local singer-songwriter, Garrett Shultz! This up-and-coming artist performed various popular country, rock, & pop hits of today! Also, there was a Car & Bike Show, free swimming at the pool, vendors selling tasty food and unique merchandise, various chances to win prizes and receive free goodies, informational booths, bounce houses, a caricaturist, a clown, a mechanical bull, bocce ball, baggo, and more! MWR offered a chance to win a 65” flat screen TV to patrons who participated in the Sponsor Scavenger Hunt. So many activities all crammed into one day!

The Carlisle Thundering Herd football team lost Friday's conference game against the Cumberland Valley Eagles, by a score of 33-13. The Herd were without their starting QB, due to a concussion from the previous week of play. The team needs to win the rest of their games, if they hope to become eligible for the playoffs. A couple of backup players stepped up and played hard this game.
The refs made a few questionable calls in favor of CV and that could have changed the momentum of the game in Carlisle's favor. This is Coach Conrad's first year, so I feel the team will get better as the years go by. "ALL IN!"

Coinciding with the month of Disability Awareness this December, five companies have agreed to sign a commitment and establish the Indonesia Business and Disability Network (IBDN) that aims at promoting diversity and inclusivity in the workplace. The signing event took place at JS Luwansa Hotel and Convention Center, Jakarta, on 16 December 2016, preceded by a presentation from Universitas Indonesia about People with Disability in Indonesia’s labor force and a talkshow about the network with representatives from the founding companies.

High-Level Ministerial (HLM) Conference on Rice: Delivering on Commitments to Transform Africa's Rice Industry
The HLM Conference was held on 25 September within the context of the Senegal Rice Day. The HLM Conference consisted of ministerial panel discussions on issues related to the improvement of the rice value chain to accelerate rice self-sufficiency in Africa. The HLM Conference was co-organized by the Government of Senegal, African Union Commission (AUC), the New Partnership for Africa’s Development (NEPAD) Agency, the African Development Bank (AfDB), the African Regional Office of the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO), Senegalese Institute of Agricultural Research (ISRA), and AfricaRice.

More than 150 pharmacy students from the Ohio Northern University Raabe College of Pharmacy took part in the 16th annual Professional Commitment Ceremony in the King Horn Sports Center. During the ceremony third-year pharmacy students receive their white coats from their pharmacist mentors – a symbol of this milestone in their journeys to become pharmacists.

Two-day Conference from 17-18 February 2016 in Jakarta, Indonesia, demonstrating the commitment and responses of Indonesia to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). The Conference attended be attended by key Indonesian labour actors and was facilitated by ILO's experts and specialists.
The Minister of Manpower of Indonesia, M. PM visited the evacuation place from Fukushima nuclear plants incident. However, He was not welcomed, but was quite criticized from people evacuating. People criticized the government's slow incident response, unclear information assessments about nuclear plants and less proactive commitments about this issues. People evacuating are really angering to PM and his cabinet.
