The Carlisle Thundering Herd football team, lost Friday's conference game against the Cumberland Valley Eagles, by a score of 33-13. The Herd were without their starting QB, due to a concussion from the previous week of play. The team needs to win the rest of their games, if they hope to become eligible for the playoffs. A couple of backup players stepped up and played hard this game.
The refs made a few questionable calls in favor of CV and that could have changed the momentum of the game in Carlisle's favor. This is Coach Conrad's first year, so I feel the team will get better as the years go by. "ALL IN!"

Fantabulous -18 the Intercollegiate Cultural Fiesta’s Inaugural session was held on 6.10.2018 at P. K Das Memorial Auditorium.
From Tamilnadu and Kerala more than1750 students from sixty four colleges participated.
Dr. B. Anirudhan Principal, Nehru Arts and Science College welcome the gathering.
Dr. P. Krishna Kumar, CEO and Secretary, Nehru Group of Institutions, Presided over the function; in his presidential address he emphasized the importance of exhibiting talents in various cultural events. He stressed that through these cultural they can boost their energy with positive attitude and stress fee mind in every walks of their life. He accentuated that winning or losing in not important than participating in the events. Required things worth (Rs.95.000/-) ninety five thousand were donated to the needy children residing at Don Bosco Anbu Illam, Ukkadam in Coimbatore District.
Mr. TULAJ A NAYAR, Tax Assistant, Joint Commissioner of Income Tax, Nagercoil his chief guest address elevated the young minds with essential thoughts about life. He insisted that students must develop their cultural talents with academics. He pointed out that the institutions should play an important role in encouraging the students to build their competence in various cultural events. He pinpointed that these types of cultural events bring lot of laurels to the students to exhibit their hidden talents.

She expressed that cultural makes student to exhibit their team work, innovation and to acquire other managerial skills. She also stated that winning or losing makes no difference in this day but participating and putting their maximum energy is matters.
The day was colored with so many cultural events followed by the inaugural session.

The valedictory function of Fantabulous – Inter – Collegiate Cultural Fiesta of Nehru Arts and Science College was held on 6th October 2018 at P.K. Das Memorial Auditorium.
Dr. P. Krishnakumar, CEO & Secretary, Nehru Group of Institutions presided over the function and delivered presidential address. In his presidential address, he congratulated the winners of various events and he also insisted the students that every opportunity given should be taken up seriously to exhibit the hidden talents in them. Nehru Group of Institutions is the top in all such activities apart from education.
Mr. A.AKASH, Promo Producer and Sound Engineer Radio Mirchi ,Chennai was the Chief Guest of the function and he felicitated all the participants. He suggested the students that they should develop and utilize their skills with the guidance of teachers to succeed in life and he congratulated the winners of various events and gave away prizes.
Ms.SHREYAS JAGANNIVAS Cloud Administrator Wipro Technologies, Bangalore Was the guest of honour of the function insisted the young minds to take part in the nation’s improvement by contributing their talent in all possible ways. She insisted the students to follow personal ethics and decorum to rise as a best citizen. In addition, she stressed that commitment is the only key to success. She motivated the budding minds to serve India as a civilian.
Dr. M. Kanagarathinam, Vice Principal, Nehru Arts and Science College felicitated. Prizes and Certificates were given to winners of first three prizes in various competitions such as Solo Dance, Group Dance, Singing, pencil Art, Photography, Fashion Designing, IQ, Painting, Mehandi, Best Actor and Best Actress and to the winners of Mr & Ms Fantabulous – 2017.
The overall trophy was won by Dept. of Viscom.

U.S. Senator Claire McCaskill joined federal and state elected officials for today’s announcement that the Boeing T-X Advanced Pilot Training System, which includes 350 aircraft and ground-based training and support, will be built at their St. Louis facility if awarded the contract from the United States Air Force.
“Today’s announcement is further proof that Boeing’s St. Louis workforce is among the best and most innovative in the country,” said McCaskill, a senior member of the Armed Services Committee. “Boeing’s T-X program is truly the future of U.S. Air Force training and the right choice for training future generations of pilots right here in Missouri.”
The Boeing T-X is part of the complete advanced pilot training system and includes state-of-the-art ground-based training and a maintenance-friendly design for long-term supportability. The T-X jet includes a flexible and reconfigurable cockpit to allow a maximum range of training options, and a fighter-like design and performance.
McCaskill has consistently supported the work of Boeing St. Louis and the quality of its workforce of more than 14,000 Missourians, including praising the Super Hornet as a reliable, cost-effective part of America’s air power. The bipartisan bill McCaskill supported to fund the government included additional funding for Super Hornets, among other Missouri benefits.
Earlier this year, McCaskill applauded Secretary of Defense James Mattis for ordering the Pentagon to review the F-35 fighter jet—which has been plagued by cost-overruns and missed deadlines—including a comparison to the F-18 Super Hornet.

On June 27th 2014, Rally for Heroes started its epic journey across Europe starting from Europe's busiest ferry port. With assistance from the Port of Dover and Port of Dover Police, these are a collection of photos to showcase, and support, Rally For Heroes worthy, and noble, cause.
My annual weekend trip to London, which gives me Saturday afternoon, evening and Sunday morning out and about wandering where ever I want to go. My daughters (and a coach load of ladies) are on the trip so I do have some other commitments on Saturday evening. Travelling at the beginning of November we were earlier than previous years so, although the decorations were in place, London wasn't as colourful as previous visits. I had decided to walk across to Little Venice as it isn't far from our hotel at Marble Arch and I hadn't been before. Having walked along the canal at home all summer chasing wildlife I wasn't impressed by a canal in London, it was windy so no reflections in the water and I left fairly soon. I'd seen Paddington Rail Station on the map not far away so I headed there. I got my camera out for the first time, it was fairly quiet and there weren't any restrictions on cameras (as far as I could see) I made eye contact with quite a few of the staff and smiled and nodded, as I would back home, and got quite a pleasant reception, no worries about me and my backpack and camera. I was pleasantly surprised at how clean the station was. I did a nine mile circle taking in Hyde Park , Piccadilly, Regent Street and Oxford Street. The London to Brighton run was on the following day so Regent Street was shut with many of the cars and loads of other transport related stuff on display. It was busy and the light was going so I didn't bother taking many photos. The cars were leaving Hyde Park just down the road from our hotel at dawn on Sunday but I couldn't muster enough enthusiasm to walk down even though I was up early. I grabbed some window and people shots on Oxford Street. Some of the Christmas displays were already in place, most notably Selfridge's, some of the displays were behind temporary work barriers as a new pavement was being laid and I couldn't get to the window, I decided to go back on Sunday morning and climb over them-which I did, Oxford street was very quiet just after 8.00 am and I got my shots.
On Sunday I walked a ten mile circle out to the Thames South Bank, on to the Shard and Tower Bridge. I went across in to The City and wound my way back to Hyde Park. We had really good journeys both ways and the coach driver did the journey home without a break, he was able to get back to the depot and park up inside his 4 1/2 hours driving time which I think is a first in 16 years. I walked home from Slaithwaite and rounded my weekend mileage to twenty miles, this is the furthest I've walked since I had reconstructive surgery on my right foot at the end of February. I wasn't particularly fired up for the trip after one of the most difficult years I can remember-and that's saying something-so I struggled to find something to get enthused about which is probably why I didn't take any photos at Little Venice and very few at Regents Street.
For too long a time now I work in spurts of organization...I have been 80% organized untl the twins but 3 years of being sic(preggo) and no sleep 18monts later..My organization has slipped away and and Mounting into monumental proportions..(to me)I am overwhelmed. I keep stumbling with flylady and know that each stumble set me up for today> TODAY right now I am making a WHOLE HEARTED commitment to myself,myfamily,myhusband,myfamily,friends,and the Mother Earth.... to NOT be a PERFECTIONIST and to take ONE step at a time.
I will Declutter,Reuse,Recycle,Stop buying needlessly,Reduce my foot print. I am integrated every tiny bit helps..one step at a time
I intend on having a harmonious,Warm,Magical,Romantic,Enriching,CLEAN to every corner.(not in one day or at one whole time) Beautiful HOME to Grow my little ones in warmth of Heart and Spirit. Doing this will give me TIME with them, ME, Hubby, Connection time with Friends Family...
I will have time to CREATE and My Heart will Sing since there's no trace of"guilt" for fear I a not doing something eles or not deserving this time.
I will make this fun for me by embellishing my FLY Baby Steps...so my GEMINI twins will play and pick up!
