I'd also like to thank Jo Yardley for the gift of this wonderful sim. If you haven't visited all the awesome places at the Time Portal you should take a look. They'll take you back in time.

Suilven is 731 metres or 2,389 feet in height. Those who manage to get to the top are surprised to find a wall running along the top. Legend has it that it was built to stop the sheep from committing suicide !!

The palace was built between 1729 and 1732, initially by the ruler of Amber. The architects achieved a fusion of the Shilpa Shastra of Indian architecture with Rajput, Mughal and European styles of architecture. I am particularly fascinated though by the red shawl on the left and the turbans inside the chamber and also the entrance of another building to the right.

Diwan-I-Khas as shown here was a private audience hall of the Maharajas (meaning rulers or kings), a marble floored chamber. There are two huge sterling silver vessels of 1.6 metres (5.2 ft) height and each with capacity of 4000 litres and weighing 340 kilograms (750 lb), on display here--they are officially recorded by the Guinness Book of World Records as the world's largest sterling silver vessels. These vessels were specially made by Maharaja Sawai Madho Singh II, who was a highly pious Hindu, to carry the water of the Ganges to drink on his trip to England in 1901 (for Edward VII's coronation) as he was finicky about committing religious sin by consuming the English water. There are a number of crystal chandeliers hanging from the ceiling too.

While I have gone to some extremes in shooting at night, most of them have been semi-reasonable, but this one: this was a whole new ball of wax. With vines and trees growing so thick that finding a clear edge of the water was a quest, wading in water with my boots hoping it wouldn't pour over the top, testing each step before committing. At a familiar location, I can be set up in 10 minutes, this was anything but. Over an hour working my way through the thick undergrowth and murky water, the wait of my target began. Getting one train to test my set up yielded positive results, and some minor tweaking, what might be the simplest looking night shot I have done in a long time, was without a doubt the largest shot I have ever done and the hardest, all for a less than perfect reflection, but perfect enough because I will never do that set up ever again.

which the West calls “cabin fever.” True, it parades under different names, according to circumstances and caste. You may be afflicted in a palace and call it ennui, and it may drive you to commit peccadillos and indiscretions of various sorts…

Be sure that it will make you abnormally sensitive to little things; irritable where once you were amiable; glum where once you went whistling about your work and your play… It will betray your little, hidden weaknesses, cut and polish your undiscovered virtues, reveal you in all your glory or your vileness to your companions in exile — if so be you have any.

Cabin fever has driven men crazy. It has warped and distorted character out of all semblance to its former self. It has sweetened love and killed love…:-)

More from Open House London 2015. This sculptural spiral staircase can be found inside Allies and Morrison Studio.

Allies and Morrison is an architecture and urban planning practice based in Southwark, London. It won RIBA London Building of year in 2014. 37 of its completed projects have won an RIBA Award and has twice been shortlisted for the Stirling Prize.

Upon arriving I was pleased that it was not fully booked although a little apprehensive about the suggested'guided tour'. For me, when I arrive at an Open House location my first priority is my photography so am always hoping for the opportunity to walk around freely. The problem with tours is you never quite know what you are committing to. First off, you generally have no sense of photographic potential from the building, then there is the person doing the tour and finally the content. This trio of unknowns can lead to something really exciting or more often than not something you feel you cannot escape from.

I am pleased to say the tour at Allies and Morrison got an A+ in all three unknowns. The studio itself is a fascinating collective of open plan spaces knitted together from a variety of architectural styles (which it inherits from it's adjoining buildings). I think what was most apparent was just how much the architect enjoyed their job and their place of work. Unfortunately though, this made me somewhat depressed as the strong realisation that I should not be working in IT and instead be doing something creative took hold. That said, the depression subsided as I quickly became absorbed looking inside the model making workshop on the ground floor. 3D printing and the more traditional model making takes place here although what I liked most was how the workshop can be viewed from all sides at street level. They have not tried to hide its inner workings but instead made them completely visible to those walking by.

Nothing fancy here, pretty much SOOC with exception to the removal of a roped off area in the corner.

Have a great weekend folks! :-)

From the front or from the side, flips flying

white, brown, black, pure and large,

innocent divine and crescent traces of light,

blind and deep harmony striking,

you are the immortal high horses,

children of the sun and musical foams.

Who does not see them and who does not ecstasy

your rhythmic step, your pure,

perfect sharpness, your measure,

your sense of geometry?

You are the measures, exalted lights

that spring from the Andalusian fields.

I would like to sing to you, even if I wanted to,

infusing you with the saps of the rider,

how sweetly and harshly it commits you

the soul that brought you to music.

And nothing else, horses that in the wind

you will dance in my only thought

Today, this morning, was one of those dreary days when leaving the house seems like committing some kind of crime. Dreary, windy, wet with sideways rain...uk. But, push forward we must. And before long I was as wet as everything around me and deeply immersed into the morning weather. Perfect. Hot coffee and a warm shop await me for my troubles but first there is some shooting to do......

It sometimes happens that I take a .jpg without meaning to. It's likely an user error and no fault of the camera. Probably I have the mode wheel in wrong position or something, and just don't notice it.

I most often commit crimes against photography in POST operations, I'll admit it freely. But maybe I should wander of the beaten path from time to time and just let the light and camera do the talking.

"BHINNEKA TUNGGAL IKA"

Bhinneka Tunggal Ika is the motto of Indonesian nation, which means "Different but still one".

MR SL ♛ Indonesia 2021 chose to support this cause, because racist acts and behaviors of racism occur in almost all over the world, including in Indonesia. Racist ideas in policy have a wide-spread impact by threatening the equity of our systems. No one is born racist or antiracist, these may result from the choices we make. Being racist or antiracist is not about who you are, it is about what you do. To create an equal society, we must commit to making unbiased choices and being antiracist in all aspects of our lives.

When we encounter interpersonal racism, whether obvious or covert, there are ways to respond and interrupt it. Asking questions is a powerful tool to seek clarity or offer a new perspective. Active action can also be done by educating the next generation. In particular, educate about the importance of equality for all people across and ethnicities in all aspects.

What can be done now is to support the anti-racism activism movement and become an anti-racist person. We're in this together, spread love not hate, fight together, "We Stand Strong Together".

"My dear friend,

I was so happy to met again Miss Nellie Paynesworth (eowyn.swords). She's so very brave. She wants to write about the truth of this terrible place. But I'm worried about her security.

A man, he says he is a doctor : DR. Haddax Paynesworth (conneradam). He looks terrible ! There is something dark about this man. When we first met he didn't make a good impression on me when he told me about the guests.

To see him today following Nellie into the garden at the back of the building ... I'm still shaking !

Hope to see you again soon. Your friend,

Aveline Ives (lou.twist)"

The back door at the foot of the early 15th century Clock Tower, St Albans.

The door, leading on to French Row, has the words 'Commit No Nuisance' stencilled on it. It resulted from a report of the Council's Highways and Plans and Nuisances Sub-Committee of 19th July 1915.

Point 3 stated, 'Attention has been called to the fact that nuisances are frequently committed by persons near the door on the west side of the Clock Tower, and urine finds its way under the doorway, and your Sub-Committee have given instructions for the step down to the floor to be filled in with concrete and flaunced off to stop any liquid getting into the building and have directed that a warning notice should be put up on the door against committing nuisances.'

I can confidently state with hand on heart that I saw no nuisances being committed at the time of my visit!

.1) Matthew 27:46 tells us that about the ninth hour Jesus cried with a loud voice, saying, “Eloi, Eloi, lama sabachthani?” which means, “My God, my God, why have you forsaken me?” Here, Jesus was expressing His feelings of abandonment as God placed the sins of the world on Him – and because of that, God had to “turn away” from Jesus. As Jesus was feeling that weight of sin, He was experiencing a separation from God for the only time in all of eternity. This was also a fulfillment of the prophetic statement in Psalm 22:1.

(2) “Father, forgive them, for they do not know what they are doing” (Luke 23:34). Those who crucified Jesus were not aware of the full scope of what they were doing because they did not recognize Him as the Messiah. While their ignorance of divine truth did not mean they deserved forgiveness, Christ’s prayer in the midst of their mocking Him is an expression of the limitless compassion of divine grace.

(3) “I tell you the truth, today you will be with me in paradise" (Luke 23:43). In this passage, Jesus is assuring one of the criminals on the cross that when he died, he would be with Jesus in heaven. This was granted because even at the hour of his death, the criminal had expressed his faith in Jesus, recognizing Him for who He was (Luke 23:42).

(4) “Father, into Your hands I commit my spirit” (Luke 23:46). Here, Jesus is willingly giving up His soul into the Father’s hands, indicating that He was about to die – and that God had accepted His sacrifice. He “offered up Himself unblemished to God” (Hebrews 9:14).

(5) “Dear Woman, here is your son!” and “Here is your mother!” When Jesus saw His mother standing near the cross with the Apostle John, whom He loved, He committed His mother’s care into John’s hands. And from that hour John took her unto his own home (John 19:26-27). In this verse Jesus, ever the compassionate Son, is making sure His earthly mother is cared for after His death.

(6) “I am thirsty” (John 19:28). Jesus was here fulfilling the Messianic prophecy from Psalm 69:21: “They put gall in my food and gave me vinegar for my thirst.” By saying He was thirsty, He prompted the Roman guards to give Him vinegar, which was customary at a crucifixion, thereby fulfilling the prophecy.

(7) “It is finished!” (John 19:30). Jesus’ last words meant that His suffering was over and the whole work His Father had given Him to do, which was to preach the Gospel, work miracles, and obtain eternal salvation for His people, was done, accomplished, fulfilled. The debt of sin was paid.

Well i've decided not to do up the 365 project already. wahah, cos i can't commit to take pictures of myself everyday and make it creative. =p

Just recently i've done a few self portraits which i wanted to save up for the 365 but i guess nah, i'm not gonna wait anymore!

This was inspired by Maung Maung aka Mexx

Sometimes, while we're driving around, I'll make a wrong turn or realize I'm lost and just slow to a crawl, unsure of what to do next, despite the fact that it makes things worse or puts us in some kind of danger.

"COMMIT!" Craig will yell. Usually we end up arguing about how he yelled at me while I was driving, but I know that he's right and that everything will be okay if I just follow through.

So, after nearly two years in Arizona, I've finally registered my vehicle.

It was time.

"Commit no nuisance" sign on the medievil clocktower at St Albans, Hertfordshire.

Built between 1404 and 1412 the Clock Tower is one of only two medieval belfries in England. Giving fine views of the Abbey, Roman Verulamium and the City centre, the tower with its fine bell has survived almost 600 years of use.

Commit your way to the LORD,trust also in Him,&He shall bring it to pass.PSALM 37:5*

Anytime people set goals for their lives that require great striving, intense frustation, repeated failures,&manipulation of others-that is an unrealistic goal.

It is not within the realm of their God-given talents&abilities. It is beyond GODs plan&purpose for their life. Now,Im not saying that the achievement of goals doesnt require effort, education, training,or the development of skills.

Those factors are always necessary in the attainment of any goal that is worthy.God doesnt give us talents&abilities that are fully developed. He requires that we sharpen them&mature in their use.

I've been wondering about what faith is. How subjective this issue is and how important it is for everyone to have someone or something to hold on to. I find it hard to define faith or even talk about it as I feel too little in front of all those people who commit themselves to His service.

don't worry i stopped them before they did

Hope you like it
