The brown building on the right is the former Commerce Center, where my dad worked for some years. It's been renovated and I believe it's now part of the ever-expanding Cooley Law School.

 

I remember riding in the elevator up to Dad's upper-floor office and being amazed that there was no floor "13" on the button panel. Dad told me, when I was but a wee lass, that it was because 13 is an unlucky number. I think I asked something like, "so is it just an empty floor? Is it there at all?" I didn't quite grasp the concept that floor 14 was actually floor 13 right away. ;-)

After weeks of being delayed for many and varied reasons, I finally got in a visit with Elaine in Wuhan. I was there from June 2-6, 2011.
