I visited Comcast in Schaumburg and met with their leadership team to talk about working with Veterans. We also discussed some of the largest issues in our District: health, manufacturing, infrastructure and education.

The Comcast installer came last week to connect the modem for Gail. When testing, the installer reset the router to factory settings and I lost all my settings. He said he was only responsible for the modem so he should not have touched the router. I could get no help from Comcast Customer Service because they did not supply the router. They just said I should contact the routers manufacturer for the settings that should be provided by the ISP. I finally got it working again. Luckily I have AT&T DSL and was able to find a work around to get the router to work with the Comcast modem.

"One Moment Please: Your service has been temporarily interrupted. It should be restored momentarily." This has been increasing in frequency ever since they forced us to switch to digital. We've had a few hours of service over the past week, otherwise it has been like this.

We are living in the stone age this weekend without cable or internet. We're actually having to talk to each other...oh the horror!!!!
Bluedot11 says hi and she'll be back in biz tomorrow (hopefully).
This is a pretty stupid login page. It asks you for your username, and then in tiny print tells you your username is your e-mail address. So why does it say "username" rather than "e-mail address"?
What's worse is if you go to Comcast's home page, where they offer username and password login fields, but no reminder that your username is your e-mail address. That turns stupid into super-stupid.

i have a hard time admitting this is one of my favorite places in Philadelphia. but even though Comcast gets way too much of my money, i still have a couple friends who work there, so...
anyway, another thing that i like about this building (and one of the many ornate ways Comcast uses our cable/internet money) is the wall in the picture, which is mostly covered with a huge flat screen monitor.
