paying the comcast bill before we leave for hawaii because we're slackers and didn't pay it on time.
I get my bill from Comcast and I see that my regular monthly bill of 46.20 for high speed internet at 6Mbs is now 76.13. After calling and complaining I get it down to 58.96 for the same 6Mbs transfer rate.
To me, going from 46.20 to 58.96 is a heck of a jump and a rip off. I see that with AT&T DSL I can get 6Mbs transer for 45.00 a month AND with that I can connect to wi-fi at any starbucks with wifi.
My question: does anyone else have DSL and how has it been? I wonder because, just because it claims to be 6Mbs doesn't mean it is going to be that fast.
On principle alone I want to leave Comcast now.
I picked this up from my local Comcast office yesterday.. got it home, realized it was busted. They also didn't give me a power cord for it. Oops. Guess where I'm going this morning?

An interesting part of the atrium's design are the 'people' crisscrossing on gangplanks overhead.
Behind me was a narrow street with two high-rise buildings on either side. This produced the vertical glare you see in the image. Next time I'll remember to use a CPL.
